weird cruising symptom, car is jerking.
Alright, I have this problem right after I let off the gas or when I am trying to keep a steady speed. If I accelerate or am decelerating it does not do it. The only way I can describe it is by saying the car jolts, sort of jarring the drivetrain and my neck. Feels like when you put different gas in, and it sorta jolts a bit. But I have not changed anything. So if anybody has had this symptom before maybe you could elaborate.
I have a TEC2 kit, and a legacy turbo setup. I checked little things like plug wires etc. |
I had similar problem, over bumps and what not, turned out to be wires going to tec from magnetic crank sensor were too small for the terminal connector. I took out the wires (pretty sure it was just one) folded it over couple of times and stuck it back in and tightened the little screw down...and viola! problem gone and never came back. Jeremy

I have a similar problem like that. My RS is also Tec-II'd, but I noticed it after I installed my turbo kit. You feel it a little in half throttle, and when I decel from high rpm's it jumps and jerks a lil bit. I also have a 14lb flywheel if that has anything to do with it?!?!
Strange. |
Yeah, this is really getting to me. I remember when my RS was stock and I was cruising in parking lots in first at low speeds, it would kind of buck if you hit the gas wrong. This is the feeling I am talking about. I am going to go over everything and make sure that no wires have moved and I'll try the mag/pickup jdk.
Thanks, Scott |
rpm and gear
What RPM and gear?
It sounds like you might be just lugging the engine at too low an RPM for the gear your in. Larry |
