I think someone should raise the BS flag on 288hp @ 6psi. I simply dont think its possible without higher boost pressure. If they claimed 260 something Id believe it, but Somehow I doubt it. (Maybe the dynoed on race gas after icing the IC or something?)

With a Garrett ball bearing turbo making boost in the teens and the pre-programmed Link ECU the SPO/AVS turbo kit offered by SPO Motorsports and Rallitek is the first turbo kit that has really caught my eye. For what you get is didn't seem outrageously expensive. I'd like to see some opinions on it from the aftermarket experts on this board...................................Doug

-The avo kit they claim a 75% increse in power. Thats WHP of cource, but they apply it to the stock bhp number. Using the whp for stock cars from various dynos it could make anywhere from 171 to 227 whp. Devide those two extremes and look. You get about the HP Larry's kit puts down.

I'm looking more for thoughts on the hardware that comes with the kit (ie: turbo, internal wastegate, piping.....etc), and the fact they say it starts boost at 1500 rpm. That's what really caught my attention. (I'm trying to learn what to look/look out for)...Doug

Ours makes 6 psi by 2600 in lower gears without an uphill load on the motor . Mine on my car makes 15 psi by 3,000 rpm in 3rd gear on flat ground with the optional catless 3 inch twin dump downpipe.

quick question...
have you done any work to your Engine internals (cams, pistons, etc.) or are you still running stock w/ your Turbo Kit?
and what is your PSI settings do you usuallly set it on?
15psi sounds kinda high on your torquey engines...
