2006ers with turbo upgrade?
I have an 06 wrx and i want to do an fp red turbo uprgrade..has anyone done this? What would i need to get on my car before and after getting this turbo..and how much will it cost for everything including tuning..

well i have an 04 sube with alil bit on mods, but from my exp. you will need injectors (700cc), chip i would utec or the cheaper reflash system, downpipe, and that is about it, o yea do not forget the boost controller, for all that it runs just about $1,500 well not including the turbo.

you need to get an engine management first before you start modding your car.

Forget utec, get an accesport. Start with that then go up pipe, downpipe, injectors, fuel pump, then lastly turbo. Im not sure if your clutch could handle an fp red (although its a great turbo). I'd say go with either a 16g or 20g. With an Accesport you wont even need a stupid boost controller. Also make sure you break the car in properly before you start doin all this (put at least 15k on the clock.)

06's are catless.. 06 inejctors are bigger than the sti. i'd say get a 20g, btw i have a fp 20g for sale..

06's arent catless. 06 injectors are not bigger than sti injectors. 06 wrx and sti's still need larger injectors to run that turbo. and a fuel pump as well.
if you dont know these basics you are bound to blow your motor.
all you need is an ems (ap), turboback, up pipe (for wrx), fuel pump, injectors, turbo, upgraded ic, and tuning.
*for the red you need to modify your tgv's. ive heard of some people not having to but most of the people/shops ive spoken to say they need to be modded.
if you dont know these basics you are bound to blow your motor.
all you need is an ems (ap), turboback, up pipe (for wrx), fuel pump, injectors, turbo, upgraded ic, and tuning.
*for the red you need to modify your tgv's. ive heard of some people not having to but most of the people/shops ive spoken to say they need to be modded.

catless??? i dont think so. even if those injectors can flow 560cc, its definately not enough for a 20g.
I might not own an 06 but it seems like i know a lot more about your car than you do
