Jeremy came in with a poorly running UTEC. Left with a reflash. Car has 650cc injectors, FP 18G turbo, full exhaust, up-pipe and is running on 91oct gas.

how is it that the 18G made as much power as a VF30/34? I was looking to get a 16g instead of the VF30/VF22, looks like I'll stick with the vf line.....is octane the limiting factor with the 18G?

As is always the case with big turbos and EJ20s (and 25 for that matter), octane is the limiting factor, not potential airflow from the turbo. Even at this hp level, you can see a little wiggle at 6000rpm where timing had to be pulled to deter knock.
