Want to explain to me how? A couple of degrees wouldn't do anything. Hell I don't even think if it's off 10degrees it would show any difference and sure as hell not 20psi across the cylinders.

Yes it would.
If your cam timing is off due to the t-belt in the wrong place, your intake valves will open too soon and you won't have **** for compression.
There are few other combos on what could happen, but yeah.
You can have your compression raised as well.
