IMO, the best way is to pay up front and pay soon, please! I don't know the exact dollar amount but just slightly more than half of the folks who have said they are going to Mt Hammy have actually paid. I am talking about several hundred dollars! That means brucelee will have to cover the rest of the money out of his own pocket and hope that the people show up to pay. Once purchased, perishable food items are not returnable. i-Club is not a for-profit organization and we have no dollars laying around for various projects.
If members have this much advanced notice are we asking too much to ask for $10-a-head up front? I'm sorry for this rant but I just don't want to see brucelee to end up holding the bag on the 11th of July.
I am also not asking for more money from members who have already paid. Some of you have expressed a desire to help offset the deficit by donating more money on top of the $10 they've already PayPal'd to brucelee. Please don't do this - you've already paid your share. I am asking only that those of you who are reasonably sure you are going to please PayPal brucelee. If everyone who says they will be going to Mt Hamilton pays very soon, we will be doing just fine.
