they worked all day

i suspect what franco said the track temps went down by the end of the day

 

i couldn't put power down on exits in 2nd gear on these tires at all
3rd gear i think i got faster . need timing...
i think i grew a few more white hairs when my instructor went WOT 4th gear over the crest into the chicane

 

i always thought the at the end of the day theres more grip due to more rubber on the track

 

i was 38& 40 cold

saving gas haha

i thougth the tire wouldnt roll with that much air

it still did haha

 

well the tires were great at the begining of a session

they then went away on us

we were driving on a slip and slide

 

i know what your talking about. i had them before

 

well i will say on the tires i didnt suffer from much or any understeer at all unless i cooked a turn
thanks to victor for the alignment even tho my bolts weren't torqued down

There's been a lot of talk about Eddie not letting Lawson make his pass during this run.

After getting a chance to look at the video. There are a couple of problems here and it is not on Eddie's part

If you notice in the beginning of the video there is a black flag being dropped for the cars in front of Lawson.


Here are the cars in question to why the black flag was out



again the two miatas are tight with each other as they passed another black flag. It's hard to tell which one has a black flag at this point



now they are both entering the bowl being chased down by the Lawson and the Rabbit



Lawson gets passed by the rabbit and makes his or her presence known to Eddie. As I said in the beginning "expect a pass anywhere"



The Rabbit managed to carry lots of speed over Eddie and he then drove off line waiting for the pass even though its a no pass zone. But please keep in mind what I said earlier, "expect a pass"


The picture above illustrates points of view. What I am thinking is Eddie was waiting for the Rabbit to pass but he didn't which is why Eddie is off line.



The Rabbit didn't go for it when he made his presence known, He should have stuck with it.

Bottom line is Eddie was driving slow, but from what I saw and know of during this session, its because of the car in front of him. The car in front of him (red Miata) had a black flag thrown from the start which is why the pace and speeds were off to begin with.

As we all found out after the session was over. We had to bump Thi off our run group in advanced for not pitting in due to the black flag. From talking with her, she did notice the flag, but she did not realize it was directed at her, she thought it was for the person behind her. This alone will have her drive off pace and not up to speed.

With my experiences with Eddie on the track, he likes to follow, not lead. With this being the first session of the day, he was following whatever Thi was doing.

I do not think he is entirely at fault for what has been claimed. There are numerous mistakes that are not only his.

Again this is what I think happened watching the vid and being aware of all the mistakes during that run since Tommy reported it to me.

 

T is on line eddie is off line he isnt doing what T is doing


eddie is incosistant if i am in the VW. the driver is going outside eddie stays online
VW is online waiting to pass after the skid pad eddie is offline on the inside

i dont think speed is a factor when a street car is going up against a race car
you are going to get passed tehy are uber fast
just stay online and facilitate the pass by lifting

then it goes back to eddie saying its your job to pass me speaking to lawson but here he is going waaay offline to help him

so the incosistancy continues

is it because he doesnt like lawson i have no clue i doubt it though

 

If you watch the vid the Rabbit is flying in. I'm sure eddie realizes that a fast car is coming through. Do you think Thi noticed it? I don't think so. Well thats why I'm saying Eddie originally wanted to let the Rabbit pass, and the Rabbit went for it, then backed off once it was realized there is no place to pass.

Thats what I see.

 

the VW was putting alot of pressure on my back after he pass lawson
During the back half he made his presence as if he was gonna make a pass on me after the back straights.
I stay offline because he was making his presence on the left side in my blind spot.
It seemed to me at the time that he was making a pass.
With franco's comment "expect a pass any where" i stay offline in case the vw wanted to charge up and pass me.

FYI it had nothing to do with me not letting lawson pass.
The pro driver didn't even need me to lift to facilitate a pass. And those people did a damn good job getting around us on or off line.
So technical there are no lines.
I got nothing against lawson.. but no need come complaining that i won't let u pass.

OH i agree completely eddie got rattled by a fast *** race car flying up on him

he got pressured and did the wrong thing. he should have stayed online. The VW isnt going to pass in that section its a R L R with a short shoot leading up to it there is no room there

he ended up doing the opposite of what he wanted to do he held up the VW more


and it looks like he is blocking hahhaha
