The MadDad(TM) Metal V2 downpipe is simply the most advanced downpipe availble for your WRX/STi. With a superior flowing metal substrate cat(vs. ceramic based cats) and a tuned divorced wastegaste design, this downpipe delivers catless downpipe performance while maintaning emissions. This unique design allows for the fastest wastegate response which eliminates boost creep caused by many competing downpipes. *Two-piece design allows great flexability. The primary downpipe section can be used with the factory 3rd cat when/if ever needed. You can't do that one one piece setups.
* Two-piece design allows you to get the 3CE section with an exit flange that is appropriate for your catback exhaust to ensure correct fit and no leaks. Competing downpipes only offer one style of exit flange and are prone to leak with some brand/style of catback exhausts.
* The MadDad(TM) Metal V2 is the only hi-flow catted downpipe with a catless wastegate design, offering the fastest boost control response to eliminate boost creep. STi owners take note.
* Metal Substrate catalytic converters, as used in the MadDad(TM) Metal V2, generaly cost 3 times more than convention hi-flow ceramic based cats used in lower cost downpipes. Metal substrate cats generally flow better and last much longer due to their metal substrate core.
* Latest V2 update now included a rear 02 extender to eliminate possibility of P0420 cels with the catless wastegate design.

Pros:
All Stainless, lighter than stock, nice power, great design, fits
Cons:
I bought this used from another member for $400 and well worth the price. Downpipe is all stainless with high quality welds and has high quality cat that should pass smog test. I recently had this installed with a sti uppipe, accessport V2 stage 2 , GM 3 port boost controller, and custom map from Ed of EQ tuning. The end result is greater power, quick response, and smoother idle than stock. I also like that this downpipe can be fitted with factory 3rd cat if needed later.
