The basic function of a turbo timer is to allow the vehicle to idle the engine for a timed period, with the ignition key removed. This allows the engine oil and turbo center cartridge to cool down and prevent internal turbo damage. GReddy Full Auto Timers pack tons of features into one economical, compact unit. In addition to two standard programmable count down presets (P-1, P-2), the GReddy Full Auto Timer also has two auto timer modes (A-L, A-H). The modes estimate the driving RPM according to the vehicles alternator signal and then recommend a count down time. Also new are the stopwatch/lap time and attack modes along with a built in voltmeter and speedometer. Still standard are the optional parking brake and speedo safety hook-ups.

Overall, I like it. That said, I feel the overall size of the timer is a bit much, they could\'ve shrunk it down a little. As far as the timer functionality (which is why you buy this thing) is fairly straightforward.
The timer has 2 preset functions that scale the time to motor load over time (one scales faster than the other), and 2 timers that can be hard set to a specific amount of time. I have mine hard set to 30 seconds, as the scaling functions have previously achieved such outrageous times as 9 minutes or greater.
Installation is relatively simple, even though Greddy does not have a harness for the Impreza (I remember hearing about someone who makes them though).
I eventually removed the timer from the case and put the internals into my ashtray (which I don\'t use), and drilled a few holes in the front of the ashtray bin so the light from the display would leak through, letting me know the timer was on.

Pros:
does its function right and straight foward
Cons:
a little too chunky to fit around the interior
this turbo timer does its job. the blue light might be a little out of place if you wanna keep a all green/red interior look. the other functions never gets used just as illogical said. the other function that i used was to read the voltage when my battery was dying out and i had to jump start it.
