Pros: looks cool with sti shifter trim
Cons: if you dont park in the shade it will be the temperature of the sun when you get back

The piston style shifter came with my car. I had to change the way I usually hold the stick because if you put your hand over the top the shape of the piston will eventually give you a blister. Also, the thing gets HOT.. really really HOT 30 min in direct sunlight and you won't be able to touch it.

Pros: looks
Cons: bad shape

This shifter looks awesome, but the functionality of it leaves a bit to be desired. As others have said it gets very hot in the sun, and it is a badly shaped knob. It starts to hurt my hand after I\'ve been driving for a while, especially when driving hard. It just digs right into your hand.

Pros: nice leverage
Cons: liquid hot magma

This knob has great leverage because it is so tall. If you are looking for a low shift position, this is not the knob for you. Shifting is smooth because of added weight and good leverage.

Like all metal shift knobs, it gets unaccepably hot/cold for me.

Pros:
Cons:

The STi shift knob is great. It took some getting used to coming from the stock knob and truthfully, it hurt my hand the first couple hours, but after that it worked like a charm. Like others have said, it gets hot when it\'s hot and cold when it\'s cold.

Pros: Light
Cons: Feel, Heat absorption

I got caught up in the hype when I was ordering my wagon. At first I was amped that I had an STi shift knob. But after a while I found that it did not really suit the way I drive and shifted. Also, it got ridiculously hot on summer days. So I sold it and bought a Momo.

Pros: looks good, it easy to manipulate
Cons: Not for the summer

Man, this thing looks great and doesnt wear, it still looks in new condition after two years and I\'m really rough on things. The only real drwback that I see is it cooks your hand if you park in the sun for any significant length of time, but it looks good
