Stromung Exhaust Systems provide added horsepower to the wheels, while adding a stylish and sporty look to the exterior. Under hard acceleration, the deep, throaty sound of the exhaust brings your senses alive with exhilaration! What really makes a Stromung system GREAT is that it is completely modular. If you want to only buy the center section to get rid of your 3rd cat on your stock system, YOU CAN. If you want a nice muffler for some sound without paying the high prices for a full system, YOU CAN. Together as a complete system the Stromung works best and is completely versatile for daily driving needs. Highly recommend and Group N legal. All Stromung parts are modular and can be used with the stock system interchangeably. You can purchase just a 3rd cat eliminator, a rear section, or a downpipe to use with your stock system. Available for all Impreza's, WRX, Legacy's & Forester's. NOTE: Available in Stainless Steel only. *

Pros:
Nice look, great sound
Cons:
cat back section dosn't work with all after market DP
I would have gave this product a much higher rating but...
The axle back section exhaust pipe hit on my rear diff bolt and on a sheet metal section at the rear of the car. I believe this was partly do to the muffler hangers being miss placed or not the right size, during manufacturing.
Also the flange at the DP connection point didn't work with my DP. Stromung says it will work with the "Factory DP" and some others. But it didn't work with my Perrin. This is partly do to the flange config. which matches closer to the stock rear exhaust pipe look. The pipe is 3" but the down size it at the flange to work with the stock DP.
The sound is great and the look is very stock, which I like. It was just to bad it didn't work with my DP and that the fit was not good with the 3" version.
I had the 3" cat-back with stainless steel dual tip muffler.

Moving from the Greddy Evolution to the 3" dual tip Stromung was a nice change. The Greddy is very quiet but rates among the best for power.
The Stromung wasn't noticably heavier than the Greddy, which is sort've an unknown until it arrives at your door.
The sound is very nice. Many of my friends seem to have very loud exhausts. This is not a quiet exhaust, but deep. The way I feel a boxer should sound.

Pros:
nice sound, increased power, easily installed
Cons:
I got my exhaust thru Cobb Tuning in Texas about 2 years ago. The price above included new hangers with polyurethane to suppress squeaks and rattles. Stromung made the exhaust for Cobb and the tip has Cobb on it. It is a 2 1/2" cat-back. A good value for the cost.

I picked this up last month and it\'s perfect. Doesn\'t attract cops and looks \"almost\" stock. But once I step on it, the sound is intoxicating.

Pros:
Excellent sound, performance, and stock-look, lightweight
Cons:
none!
The Stromung stainless steel dual-tip muffler should have come with the WRX. It looks very similar to the stock muffler, has a great rumbling boxer sound, will not rust, and made very good power with an ECUtek reflash. The weight difference between this muffler and the stock one is very apparent when installing one or the other - it makes swapping exhaust easy as the midpipe connects PERFECTLY to the stock axleback muffler! No problems after several thousand miles.

This is my current exhaust and i love it. Its not too loud which is great since i prefer a \"sleeper\" look yet it still gives me subtle gains. I favor this look rather than the \"melon Shooter\" look which i have have had and gone through.

Pros:
Power gain, sounds great, fitment, look
Cons:
none so far
Very noticeble power increase, i installed it with Helix downpipe/uppipe, fitment is perfect. I am going for a sleeper look , the dual tips after a 3inch pipe look very nice and clean. Sound is great, the way boxer engine should sound and when you step on it it really opens up.

Nice sound, good power.
Cons:
Build quality, though I do have the old Stromung.
Love the sound but mine is rusted out and the welds are breaking...dissappointment. But I do have the old style, not the stainless.

Pros:
Soft at idle, deep and throaty while accelerating
Cons:
Little heavy because it\'s stainless, using short hangers there is a vibration from where the flange hits a body pan
I was searching for a cat back that was both quiet and a little loud, I found it. The dual tip cat back from Stromung is just awesome. I mated it to my \'04 STi using Kartboy\'s short hangers. I ended up with a nice tight fit to the body and a killer Boxer rumble. Some \"custom\" work was done to stop a rattle caused by the flange of the rear portion of the exhaust hitting a body pan, probably due to the Kartboy short hangers, oh well.
Overall, it sounds great and looks just as good. Definitely a good buy.

Pros:
sounds mean as hell and still looks stock. :)
Cons:
None!
I picked up a 2.5\" dual tip catback used from a member and installed it last night.
My car now sounds as mean and fast as it is (200WHP@Gruppe-S).
It has a very nice throaty tone when you get on it.
It is not too loud when when WOT, it sounds really nice, then it seems like the noise level tapers after you get passed 5K RPM.
When keeping a nuetral throttle the car is not much louder then stock, can still hear music totally fine.
Stock hangers fit perfectly, no clearance issues on my 04 WRX wagon.

Low throaty rumble, great clean looks, easy installation.
Cons:

The Stromung 3\' dual-tip cat-back is a great exhaust for someone looking for performance advantages and great sound, without being preyed on by the cops. When teamed with the Helix downpipe the Stromung has a really low rumble but when you get on the throttle it really hits some high notes. Installation is a snap,m everything fits great, I would reccomend the Stromung exhaust to anybody that owns an Impreza.

Pros:
not to soft, yet not too loud, just right.
Cons:
it couldve looked a little nicer
i loved this exhaust! it wasnt too soft and it wasnt too loud, i thought it was just right. it\'s also great if your going for a stock look but want the 3\" piping. oh and once you go WOT, it gets pretty mean which i liked! i only sold this exhaust because i decided to get a JDM TBE.
