I first got these with the stock intercooler and it was very easy to install. The BOV return hose is a real pain in the 'edit for content'. I would just say, don't put it on. The short hose going from the core to the throttle body is also useless. I didn't notice any performance gains out of it, but I wouldn't of expected any. I mostly got it so that the hoses would last longer then the stock ones. However, with a larger aftermarket intercooler, the hoses become hard to put on. Nothing seemed to line up very well. You get the hose around the turbo outlet, but then you can't get it into the throttle body hose. Just a pain in the 'edit for content' again. I'm sure it is worth getting just for the piece of mind you get.

Cheaper than Samco hoses, yet just as good if not better.
I had no problems getting the hoses on, except for the logistics involved in getting the turbo outlet to stay on while the throttle body hose is slid on.
This is an issue even with the OEM hoses and other aftermarket hoses as well.
The intercooler is just a pain to get back on the car once it is off.

This actually wasn't such a difficult install. Its just can be frustrating to get the hoses to all do the right thing at once. But, this is true of any IC hose install. The rumor is that Vishnu's are easier, but I have no proof of this.
Don't expect gobs of horsepower or an amazingly lower spoolup. But, I did notice what I'd call a bit more "urgency" in boost rise. I tried not to be too fooled by the good, old butt-dyno. But I believe there is a difference. I am trying to do everything I can to accellerate boost. This is one piece of the puzzle.

good quality. installation was not too fun. i only did the Y pipe cause i'm running an atmospheric BOV and its the only one that matters.
a hint for installation: connect all ends of the Y pipe first before bolts or the TB hose. do the TB hose second. its a tight fit, but its the only way to get it all on correctly.

Quality and workmanship are very good. It's not a particularly difficult install with the factory WRX intercooler but beware if you are using an aftermarket top mount - the larger the top mount size, the more difficult installation may be with the Vishnu or Samco hose kit.
Use quality stainless steel worm gear clamps (not supplied) to fasten hoses. Some members report that using a pair of offset needle nose pliers makes removing the compressor bypass valve (BOV) hose much easier. It can also be cut off with a Dremel tool if care is used. Replace the clamp with the proper size stainless worm gear clamp.
The throttle body hose will probably be the most difficult to install. Use care and a small blunt end pry tool to at like a miniature tire iron. Sport Compact Car magazine reports that they found success using a small hex (Allen) key held by a pair of Vise-Grip® pliers to work the throttle body hose around the mouth of the throttle body without damage.
Make sure hoses are seated properly before tightening all connections. Check for kinked hoses.
This is one of those mods that does not give noticeable improvement but is more incremental and works well with other mods.

I dun\'t have hoses but y\'all seemto have troube putting them on
1. clamp y hose to bolt on flange inlets
2.clamp y hose and ic inlets to turbo
3.clamp t.b. hose to i.c.
4.clamp t.b. hose andi.c. to throttle body
5.use small 12mm socket or wrench to bolt y hose back up to intercooler

Bought the black Y-pipe and throttle body hoses from and i-Club\'er in Sacramento. Trying to improve power delivery wherever I can without too much bling-bling or noise to attract negative attention.
I just got it installed today at Gruppe-S along with a Bosal uppipe, so I\'m not sure how to rate it\'s performance by itself.
After the drive home from Hayward to San Jose with both new parts installed, it appears to eliminate some of the lag and jumpiness the car had before with the factory catted piece. Also quicker to make boost. The car feels stronger overall throughout the entire rev range. I don\'t notice it being any louder than before.
Not sure if the gains are more the uppipe or the hoses or a combo of the two...either way, so far I\'m happy with both.
