Part No. GDA-EX005

The Helix Catted Downpipe incorporates Helix Power’s first-rate bell-mouth downpipe, with the addition of a 200 cell Metal-Substrate high-flow catalytic converter and thermal barrier heat-shield. The 200 cell Metal-Substrate downpipe has been tested by us to yield 7-10whp over the factory twin cats, while able to pass stringent California smog standards on the WRX / STI. The thermal barrier heat-shield assists in rapid warm-up of the cat for maximum efficiency and helping to reduce engine bay temperatures.

Pros: Apparent high quality just by looking at it. Outstanding welds. Excellent fitment. No downsizing at flange, full 3\"
Cons: Heavy, but required due to the quality of the metal used. No Helix sticker in the box. : (

Great, high quality product. No issue with fitment, bolted right up. Good power gain when fitted with 3\" Catback. No excess engine noise as some have stated, but slightly louder turbo spool. No boost creep. No cels! Came w/mech. cel fix from Gruppe-S.

Pros: Stainless, bellmouth, power
Cons: none

I had this installed with a gutted uppipe. I would have done the install myself but the car was bought from my uncle in NY so after 30 thousand miles through snow and salt all the pipes were fused together. I had to get all new gaskets and a new o2 sensor because the old one wont come out of the midpipe. I would recomend this DP to anyone. The highflow cat does not take out much power. I would buy helix everytime.

Pros: Improves HP, Turbo Spools Quicker, Has Cat
Cons: NONE!

Improves turbo spoolup, and hp. Great Look. Legal because of cat! While some people have problems with boost creep, and check engine lights, the high flow cat helps just enough to erase most of these problems. Awesome product, but pricey unless you get it used.

Pros: catted, high quality finish, hp
Cons: $$$, had to get the right size bolts

It came with gaskets(dp to turbo and dp to catback) and bolts/nuts/washers to mate with catback. The bolts were too thick for Evo2 flange so, I used 10 mm bolts, nuts and washers instead. No fitment issues with Evo2. It seems like it's meant for each other. The noise level is almost the same as stg 1 with Evo2 alone.

Pros: good quality, great gains, no smell
Cons: pricey

it's a bit more expensive than going catless, but i didn't want the smell, and with this dp i don't have that problem. gains are great and quality is top notch.

Pros: Craftmanship, flow and fitment
Cons: A bit heavy but that is a good thing I suppose, there was no exhaust fumes detected from inside the cab.

Great firment to perrin dual tip catback. This dp looked sooo good I wish it was more visible. I did install a heat shield on it at its closest point to heatshield just as an insurance. I would highly recomend this, I do believe it is a good bang for the buck and well priced considering the other options.
