Pros: lightweight, looks good
Cons: cost, not as strong as some wheels

Extremely lightweight wheels at 12.5 pounds each. I don\'t have numbers to prove it, but it feels as if my WRX is a bit quicker (or maybe it just looks faster ;-) )

I have heard there may be issues with bending the rims as they are not as strong as some wheels. But I have not experienced this yet, and hopefully never will!

Pros: Lightweight, first-class manufacturing and finish.
Cons: None

I have 17X7.5 SSR Competition Type C in the bright silver paint for my \'03 WRX Sedan paired with 225/45/ZR17 Kumho Ecsta MX tires. This combination gives me wider tires and wheels with a lots of grip. Cornering and straight-line stability are much improved with SSRs while the WRX\'s unsprung weight is reduced a total of 18 lbs. from stock!

I do a freeway commute 250 miles per week and have some fun driving on poorly-maintained pavement roads on most weekends. I know that these semi-solid forged wheels are strong.

New SSRs from the factory box includes optional-use \"SSR\" or \"Competition\"stickers, matching machined metal center cap w/SSR logo and metal valve stem with SSR-embossed valve cap.

Absolutely no complaints and nothing but good things to say about the SSR Comps.

UPDATE: After one year, the premium quality SSRs are doing great. No problems and bright silver paint still looks like new.

Pros: nice looking, light as 17s, pretty strong
Cons: the price

bought it from tirerack.com i have the 18x8.5 for the sti w/ +48 offset. they recommended 225/40/18 wheels, however don\'t get those!! they are way too skinny and the rims sticks out more than the tire and the tire is all flexed. i am in the process of getting 245/40/18 tires. chose that over 245/35 because the added comfort although 245/35 is closer to stock diameter
