SMP chimney heatshield, got this off a group buy and its a nice piece because now we have a heatshield we can use with aftermarket downpipes...
fitment is nice and just need to angle it perfect to install,
I noticed that the temperature near the tmic is a less once the heatshield was added because the heat was rising up through the chimney to the air splitter... for the small price, I think this is a lot better than the stock heatshields because you can use it with an aftermarket downpipe and it doesn't trap heat, it channels it.

Pros:
Re-directs heat up through the splitter, stainless steel
Cons:
Hard to install over stock heat shield
This was my first mod. I managed to get it on sale. It does re-direct heat from the turbo up through the splitter better. Not that the hand test is official. I put my hand in the scoop before the chimney and both sides were hot. I did it after the chimney, and the I/C side was much cooler. It is nice stainless steel construction.
I didn't notice any increases in power, but I do feel better about the longevity of the turbo by sending channeling the heat away from the turbo, rather than the heat just hanging around. It does what it is advertised to do, re-direct heat.
If you are putting this on a stock car, it is a royal pain to install over the stock heat shield.
