Pros:

Fully synthetic, not too expensive

Cons:

Horrible grinding!
While this gear oil seemed to work great for the gears and center/front differentials, it did not provide enough grab for the synchros. I found my car (\'02 WRX) grinding into almost every gear!
After trying this oil, ended up draining off half of it and adding some RedLine Lightweight Shockproof. This oil cocktail really fixed the problem and now my tranny shifts beautifully!
So either make up a 50/50 mix of 75w90ns and Lightweight Shokproof, or perhaps try just the Ultralight Shockproof straight. I wouldn\'t use the 75w90ns alone... although some people have had luck with it.

Pros:

Greatly improved shifting.
Cons:

If you don\'t shift smoothly to begin with, you need to learn if you use this fluid.
Makes my car shift great weather cold or hot outside. Some people don\'t like it but, I think that it\'s all in the way that you drive your car. Fast shifts take a little finessing if you use synthetic anyway. Overall, great fluid.

Sure, big deal, you're using Redline oil.

Cons:

1st gear grinds...
So I tried using this on my 30k maintenance and I couldn't regret it more. Prior to using this, my transmission was smooth and went into every gear very well. After putting Redline in, 1st gear would occasionally grind and shifts never felt as smooth as before.
Basically, if you own a WRX (5 speed manual), this stuff is a joke and a waste of money. I just replaced the Redline with some Valvoline non-synthetic and my 1st gear is back to as smooth as before.
WRX owners: STAY AWAY FROM SYNTHETICS. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON SYNTHETIC GEAR OIL... REDLINE IS GARBAGE!
