Switched out to Mobil 1 from break-in oil at 6000 miles. Been using the OEM oil filter with it and works great. Haven\'t really \"felt\" a difference but I know it works and protects the engine. Switching to synthetic is a good investment to make.

mobil one is the one of the only companys that uses its own oil that they drill and put on tankers, so its not just someone elses oil with some additives, also used in my friends 89 RX-7 and hell it has 189,000 miles on the clock and no problems as of yet.

By far the best synthetic oil I have used. i have used it in the my last (3) autos without incident. It is especially good if your significant other considers a routine oil change to be every 10k. My finace put almost 10k on her last oil change with an 03\' Accord. The dealer actually commented on how clean the oil was despite the long o/c interval.

I have been using nothing but Mobil 1 for the past 6 years and placed it in my WRX after the first 3k miles. I think that is the best synthetic out there. Also, you can get a 5 quart jug at Wal-Mart for about 20 bucks. Do it yourself and it is the same cost as a Jiffy Lube oil change.

good synthetic motor oil
|
|
Cons:
|
can\'t find 5w-30 cases in my area.

i haven\'t tried the really high priced motor oils like amsoil, or redline, but i know some people that went back to mobil1 because the others got a bit pricey.
I switched over to synthetic at 14k miles and my car did feel much smoother.

Not the best synthetic out there but probably the cheapest. After I changed my oil the engine revved more freely and was more responsive. A must have for hot-running turbo motors.

Well, I don\'t have any scientific information, but all I know is I got my car at ~100k mi, have put over 40k on it, and I\'ve had no engine problems whatsoever to date. I don\'t know if this has anything to do with using this kind of oil the entire time, but I guess it may...

+1 for the Costco 6 pack! When I changed the crap-ventional oil out and replaced it with this, I immediately felt a difference (maybe I had gone too long without an oil change...?). The engine idled better, revved smoother, sounded better, etc. I\'d recommend this to anyone!

I used to this stuff at one of my oil changes and didn\'t notice any difference in the car\'s performance. For a long time i went with the mentality of \"Oil is Oil\". This stuff didn\'t change my mind by much

Getting oil tests done show I can go further than 8000 miles on this oil. Not too shabby considering it's just over 20 for 6 quarts. Also, everyone knows the great quality of Mobil 1
