Sales experience was good

Service dept always seems very busy

Sales experience:
I bought my car 6/03 from Wayne. Got a quote through email, test drove the car (took it out alone), and then bought it for the price promised.
I knew which car I wanted and the price I wanted to pay before going to the dealer. Very nice no B/S experience (they didn\'t try to add on any of those \"dealer prep\" or other B/S charges).
Service experience:
Had to bring in my car for the idle control valve problem. I talked to Tony (service manager), who was nice, but was always really busy. They fixed my car right the first time when promised without any problems. They also washed my car prior to returning it to me.
The only thing that would\'ve been nice to for them to provide a loaner car because the part replaced was defective and replaced under warranty.

I was looking to buy a 05 Sti. I was a little picky about the options (world rally blue pearl, short throw, performance guage pack, security, and mirror uprades) so I knew I was going to have to order it. I went by Livermore on my way home from the Bay Area (I live in Modesto) and met Frank, the sales manager. I told him what I wanted and he said no problem. He had two Sti\'s on the lot but since niether of them had the options I wanted we would just order it. He didn\'t have me look at the ones on the lot. He knew I already looked and didn\'t want to waist my time. We sat in his office and he started writing up all the options I wanted and was figuring the cost. He showed me thier cost and said he would give it to me for $1200 over cost. It would take 6-8 weeks to come in (why does everything take 6-8 weeks?). I told him I would go over it with my wife (don\'t laugh when you get married you\'ll know what I\'m talking about) and would get back to him. After 2 weeks for talking her into it I tried to get the same deal from Turlock Auto Plaza and after 3 hours down there I wanted to come back with a gatling gun. So I went back to Livermore that night (they stayed open late because I was coming) and ordered it. The ordering process took about 10 min. IN AND OUT IN 10 MIN! After 4 weeks my car came in and when I picked it up they spent about 30 min going over the car with me to make sure that I was satisfied. I have never thought much of Subarus before but will buy them till the cows come home from Livermore!

sold me a car with hidden exterior defects

Salesamn was decent. Car (Y2K 2.5 RS coupe) kept getting delayed for some reason. I saw the VIN # as being \"in\" on the website and the salesman kept telling me it was not. I get the car and did a quick inspection for obvious defects and found nothing.
Later on, I found that the car must\'ve been in some incident since there were scratches on the top surface of the bumper and they were touched up with a discoloring touch-up paint. Next thing I noticed was that when I popped the hood, the uppermost member of the front chassis structure was buckled. Then I put 2 and 2 together and found out that this must have been why they delayed my car for that long. I\'m not gonna come to conclusions, but I believe that a dealer that does that should be reported to the better business bureau. I went to Carlsen to have it fixed and that was an entirely different story... I sent a letter to the Subaru Corporate headquarters to complain and finally got the chance to complete repairs at carlsen under warranty.

i buoght my car from livermore and wayne was great. i told him what i wanted and he had one sitting on the lot. i test drove the car, alone with my parents and i automatically feel in love.
only thing i didnt like was when we were signing all the papers, the last step before i drive away with my car the dude that was helping us was a dick. i didnt want this but he kept asking why. he was consistant on asking why i didnt want this deal or this or that. i guess hes trying to up sale but daym. gimme a break. i already know what i want.
other than that, everything else is great and i came home a proud suby owner

Since I'm a teen, they treated me like a kid

I had some noise coming from my brakes and I knew it wasn't my pads so I didn't want to risk it so I took it here since they were the closest dealership. Soon as I got there, people refused to help me, and would just walk by. About 30 minutes after waiting, the sales manager came out and asked me if I needed something. I told them I would like for them to examine my brakes since they've been making noise. With only 2 cars in line he told me it wouldn't take too long to diagnose the problem.
After 1 hour of waiting, he came back telling me the tech said I needed new brakes. I asked him "What do you mean new brakes?" He laughed at me and said "you know what brakes are." To which I responded, "Do I need a whole new brake assembly, pads, rotors, etc?" He immediately shut up and after about 10 seconds of looking dumb he said "talk to the tech."
The tech said I needed new brake pads, which I obviously didn't since I checked them the day before I went to the dealership and they had plenty of meat. I told him that and he INSISTED and even got mad at me since I told him I checked them and they were absolutely fine.
So I drove home after about 2 hours there with no added information about my car. Later, I realized, I never even gave them my wheel lock key, so they didn't even take off my wheel! In the end, I found it was the rotor rubbing against the dust shield, and the slider pins needed lubing which caused the pads to stick to the rotor occasionally.
These people are morons who do not try if you don't seem like a professional adult. Never will I waste my time here again.

I recently bought an 07 WRX Sedan from Livermore and my experience was nothing less than amazingly easy and quick. I wen throught the Internet Sales guy named Mike. I got $100 invoice plus tax and licensing, which was good enough for me and was relatively a good price from what I hear some people have paid. He spent an hour with me showing me the car the first day and had all the paper work taken care of for when I returned to pick up the car. He was great, customer service was admirable, and the transaction was flawless!!! Definately check these guys out, but don't bother with the CLUELESS floor sales guys. Talk to Mike, the Internet Sales guy and let him know Steven with the 07 Satin White Pearl WRX sent you

Purchased 07 WRX on Saturday the 10th. Worked with the ISM (Lapon) on Thursday. Gave me all the detailed information I requested in a timely manner. In and out of the dealership in just over 2 hours. AWESOME experience!
