Description:
The original 'Larry's Cold Air Intake' aka Ganzflow. Available from subaruplanet.com/imprezaRS.com. Built from 3in aluminum piping which attaches to the stock airbox and extends to the passenger side fender wall as seen in picture in order to obtain cold air from outside the engine bay. Retains stock airbox however replacement filters (Amsoil, K&N) can be ordered as well for use in conjunction. Aluminum tubing is offered in Silver, Blue, and Red annodized finishes. While the silicone hose is available in yellow, blue, or red to compliment. An I-club old school special and arguably the best 'bang for buck' intake available for the 2.5 RS.

Pros:
Power gains up top, more growl
Cons:
a little low end loss
Excellent product for the price. Installed on my MY00 RS. Where the engine just made noise in the upper RPM range I definately felt some gain. It pulled more throughout the upper ranges. I did note some low end loss, but only slight. Overall well worth the $ adds a nice growl too!

Pros:
looks good, slight power increase, cheap
Cons:
kinda \"hollow\" sound
Got it used, so didn\'t get to pick color Otherwise slight power increase although not real noticeable. Didn\'t notice any torque loss. For so cheap, you can\'t really go wrong. Easy to install, tho if you do the elbow mod (I didn\'t) It would be slightly harder. Don\'t know exactly how to describe it, but to me, at high rpm\'s it kinda sounds hollow, though I do like the sound better than stock. If you can pick one up stock I\'d definitely recommend it, and its well made.

Pros:
Easy Install
Cons:
As the others have said, this is by far the best bang for the buck as far as intakes for the NA Imprezas are concerned. I installed one of the original, 2-piece ones, in my wife\'s 2000 RS. The butt-dyno says there\'s a tad more power in the upper powerband, with no noticeable loss in torque in the low-end. I also got the K&N at the same time and everything installed extremely easily.
The thing I really like about this intake is that it retains the factory airbox so you\'ve always got a fairly large volume of air to draw upon.
I also put one of these intakes in my brother\'s 2000 Legacy GT. Again, the new versions just keep getting better.

Pros:
more air
Cons:
price
The only thing i like about the intake is the nice chrome bling. Other than that...I felt as though i was ripped off. If I could go back in time...I would have made my own intake out of plastic pipes from home depot.
