This product is unique in that it unlocks the deep rumble of the boxer engine without being too loud. This holds true even if you are completely catless like me. I've never heard the prodrive behind a cat, I'm sure it's even quieter.
Another thing that sets it apart from the rest is the tip... chrome, oval, slash cut, with a rolled edge, which fits perfectly into the bumper line as if it came from Subaru. This is one of the few classy tips on the market, most everything else employs a 4" coffee can.
I don't understand why, but it's also less expensive than many of the fart cans.

This exhaust is perfect in every way. Stealthy, yet brutish. Clean and mean looking all at the same time.

The Prodrive muffler was the one I chose after extensive research and painstaking web surfing for sound clips of various exhausts. The name says it all...

just wanted to agree with the previous posts. I installed it onto a TurboXS Stealth set up and its very quiet with just enough noise to be pleasing at highway speed and a healthy note under acceleration. Will not attract mutch if any unwanted attention from law enforcement. I spent a good bit of time looking for the perfect cat back and for what I wanted from it, I found the perfect one.

Great construction, unique oval tip, SOUND!
|
|
Cons:
|
Pricey, still 2.5\", not that stealthy of a tip

If you want to unlock some great sounds from your WRX, this is the muffler. Sure it\'s pricey, but the sounds and quality are worth it compared to most of the cheap catbacks available.
Even with only a single hi flow cat, it\'s still very muted and not obnoxious at all. Great product.

Looks great, and most importantly very quiet!

Cons:

Mounts quite high, very close to bumper

I have the round tipped axleback which has the same performance specs as the oval tipped one. I love this exhaust mainly because it provides good performance gains without the noise. I think this exhaust is very good looking and relatively stealthy as well. This is the best sounding exhaust for the WRX IMO. It also mates perfectly with my TurboXS stealthback. I give it a 9.

Quiet, Made by Prodrive, Unique Tip
|
|
Cons:
|
Expensive, 2.5\" only
|

This exhaust comes recommended for the passive racer in all of us. It\'s not loud, doesn\'t look out of place beneath the bumper, lacks the grapefruit shooting cannon, and is welded beautifully.
However, if you were looking for maximum performance, this exhaust is not 2.5\" and is only an axleback for the $300+ you will spend. Therefore, you might want to look elsewhere for a larger exhaust for a turboback compared to keeping your exhaust system stock.

Not full 3\"

Very quiet, good performance gains when coupled to a stealthback. Looks great, too.
Only downside is that it isn\'t 3\" wide throughout, so a full 3\" system might generate more power.

The only gripe I have about the exhaust is the burnt look of the welds, purely cosmetic. I absolutley love the sound it produces. I also love how nice the oval tip looks under the car, very nice and not too many other oval types out there. Fit was stock perfect, no problems. Install time less than 30 minutes for sure.
