Very Friendly, Free Oil Changes, Cobb Dealer

|
Cons:

Very helpful, qouted price over the phone, offered to have someone to pick me up or to drop off my car. They are laid back, not pushy, will not call you and bother you, helpful with financing.
While Ron Price and Carlsen are great, they could not match Santa Cruz price.

Distance from San Francisco but worth the drive!

I got a quote over the phone (included trade in value) within an hour of posting a request on their website. The other dealers in the area responded much slower and didn't seem interested in selling me a car.
They even installed the short throw shifter in my car the day before I got down to the dealership and signed any paperwork! Sandy (sales person) said that I seemed trust worthy over the phone with regards to actually purchasing a car immediately.
I was in and out of the dealership in 1.5 hours. I got the lowest price and best service from Santa Cruz. Big Thumbs Up!!!

No BS, friendly, great over email, laid back, and they know their cars well

Cons:

A little far from SF, its crowded in the parking lot

I picked up a White STi from SSC. Did all the price quote thing over the internet, even though i got a better quote (by $500) from Oakland i decided to go with SSC. Sandy did refuse to meet oakland's quote, which was disapointing.
When i got there to pick up the car it was not quite ready, but by the time paperwork was done, the car was ready to do. I delt with Nick when i got there, and he was plesent to work with, and was a straight shooter.
I only got one option with the car the Auto Diming mirror, and they did don't lower the price much on it.
Charlie Y, has been awesome, really knows the cars well, and is a pleasure to chat with and deal with. He pointed me to i-club. Service dep has been great so far.
So i would recomend this dealer to anyone looking for a good kcik back and helpful dealer.
They also seem to have lots of STi on the lot. It would be even better if they would have shaved some more off the price

Definately the best car buying experience I've ever had. I negotiated a great price with them over the phone and spent about an hour at the dealership (about 15 minutes to sign papers, the rest was making sure I knew the in and outs of the car - stereo, maintanence schedules, etc).
I highly recommend heading out to Santa Cruz to buy a subie... contact Charlie Yeo - he knows his stuff and was a pleasure to deal with.

Have only had service experience with this dealership, but they are amazing too. They take their time finding the problem, and don\'t hassle you about mods.
They are also unusual because they are open on Saturdays and Sundays which makes getting service done quite easy.

Best experience buying a car I\'ve ever had. Price was determined and agreed upon before I even entered the dealership. Sandy (sales manager) was very helpful, polite, and responsive via email. Upon arriving at the dealership, Charlie Y knew the car inside and out and was also of great assistance. Nick was the one who wrote up the paperwork and was also very polite and professional.
Couldn\'t recommend them more. Would have been worth the drive across the bay... luckily I\'m only a couple blocks away.

This was my first new car. I never thought I would buy a new car....but the opportunity openned up and I ended up at SC subaru.
I had no idea about anything except exactly what car I wanted and the maximum I was willing to pay.
Charlie and everyone else were very patient with me and walked me through everything.
I love the 3 years free oil changes. I love the people in service. Been very good with everthing. Very attentive and extremely prompt on time. I had a grill fading and they replaced it no questions asked. My deck crapped out after 3 days of owning it (my fault I think) they replaced it no questions asked.
I have even had the opportunity to hang with a few of the staff members off the lot and they are insanely great people.
They are not paid on commission and deal with you as real people. It\'s obvious that they feel the cars, prices and friendly work force speaks for itself.
I know people that have purchased at other dealerships and go to SC to get serviced...even if it\'s 3 times farther than the one they bought their car from.
Shoot I live in Milpitas....hour away and I still go there for all of my scheduled needs.
So bottom line. Whether it\'s you first new car purchase or your 20th...you will find no better place to purchase a subaru than Santa Cruz Subaru.
P.S. and look on the brightside...it\'s an excuse to spend the day at the beach ever 3500 miles.

The service has been excellent every time I have had my car in for oil change/service.
Everyone there is very friendly and easy going, they are the type of people (for the most part) that live and make Santa Cruz what it is.
If you are going to buy a Subaru, go here. Plus they actually spend 30 minutes with you showing you how everything works on the car (Charlie did for me, very thorough).
I cant say enough good stuff about them. You will be stoked!

An all around great car dealership. It is hard to find a car dealership with such a friendly, non pushy staff. I have been working with Charlie Yeo, and he is such a friendly guy to work with.
Thanks a lot Charlie!

This is my first car buying experience and i thought it went pretty well.
We talked the price over the phone and i put down a refundable $500 deposit because they had the car i wanted. Went in a few days later and walked away a happy owner. Although i was hoping to get a lower price I think the 3 years of free oil changes, friendly staff and comfortable setting totally makes up for it. It took me about 3 hours to get out of there but the whole experience was very efficient, comfortable and overall great.
I will definitely go back to them for my free oil changes and get a loaner car while i wait as well as cash in on my detailing. i\'m confident they will follow through.

Spilled some white crap all over my engine bay, about 1.5-2x slower than they quote.

They have great service and provide you with a ride if you need to go anywhere locally. I usually just chill at Jeffery's which is similar to Denny's but much friendlier and better service. I was only getting a 30k mile checkup done and warranty work like the cruise control.
Their service is great, took out everything I didn't want them to do for the 30k like oil changes, tire rotation, etc and lowered the price very nicely. Though, I will ALWAYS inspect every point of my car when I get anything done from now on. I was in a hurry since I needed to get to Gruppe-S for a tune appointment, and their reputation, I thought everything would be good.
Everything was good, until I got to Gruppe-S. Moike told me as if someone took a vanilla shake and threw it all over my engine bay. Now, since I'm in the east bay, I had to drive all the way back to Santa Cruz to fix this. They would not allow me to go to any other dealership, nor would they allow me to keep the stock parts they replaced (even though it clearly states on their reciept I can keep it if I ask).
I'm out of my warranty period, so I will probably never go to a dealership ever again. The service here was DEFINATELY not worth the gas to get there. Next time I'll plan a trip to a beach afterwards.
