Cracked welds.
These are great for power. They dropped my RS 1/4 mile times by .50 (in addition to an intake and exhaust) and really help pull from the mid to upper rev range. The sound is also very good gives it that swarming metal bees sound under full throttle . The only thing that was a problem for me was the build quality. Under normal spirited driving they cracked welds and developed exhaust leaks in 2 seperate places. Luckily Borlas million mile warranty is no bull and it was replaced. But still unless the newer versions have strengthened some areas they probably will crack. Would still highly reccomend though...

Installed the latest version of the Borla SS headers in my 2000 RS about six months ago. The new version is a much better quality than the prior versions, and have had no problems with the welds cracking. The installation was effortless and fit was perfect. Excellent power gains when used with other mods and the sound is music.

Very good product. Adds lots of torque to the RS. Also gives it a nice grumble. Would definately recommend to those wanting headers but not wanting to spend 600+ on equal length headers.

Cons:
No power gains
Least expensive headers by far. I question whether they do anything power wise (definatly nothing in my \'95 L) The sound is excellent, cant be beat!!! The fact the earlier models have CARB certificates is a plus, and can be used for the newer models too.

runs pipes very close to oil filter, inturnal welds
Gave the car an agressive low range rumble. I hated how they inturnally welded the pipe on the header flange (especially after all the work i did polishing the exhaust ports). The passanger bank tubes runs about 2\" from the oil filter.. I have noticed no negitve aspects of this .. it just makes me uncomfertible with this product.. It sounds great and looks of good quality so i cant complain.
edit* forgot to mention that i noticed no proformance gain from stock exhaust and aftermarket intake. I am noticing more gaines with every exhaust upgrade.

Good header for an NA car, but I would probably go with an EL header instead.
