Description: TireRack.com description.

The Potenza RE92 is a High Performance All-Season tire designed for
sports coupes and sports sedans. It was developed to provide
responsive handling and year round traction, even in light snow.

On the outside, the Potenza RE92 features a computer-enhanced tread
design to minimize tread noise while interlocking triangulated tread
blocks, circumferential tread grooves and an all-season tread
compound provide traction on dry, wet and light snow-covered roads.
Internally, the Potenza RE92 features twin steel belts reinforced by
spiral-wrapped nylon belt edge strips (for H-speed rated sizes) or a
full spiral-wrapped cap ply along with single belt edge strips (for
V-speed rated sizes). The Potenza RE92 belt package stabilizes the
tread area to enhance wear, while providing strength for cut
protection and high-speed capability. The Potenza RE92 radial's
polyester cord body help deliver a smooth ride along with responsive
handling.

Bridgestone Potenza RE92 tires feature black sidewall styling with
subtle black letters They are S-, H- or V-speed rated depending upon
their application and available in 70-, 65-, 60- and 55-series sizes
for 13" through 17" wheel diameters.

Pros: Brigestone name, really reliable
Cons: None

Great tire! Great cornering, solid feel, grip was amazing compared to stock. Great reputation for being the best and it's reputation preceeds itself. Only took about 300 miles to break in and lasted about 7,500 after spirited driving.

Pros: Cheep, Stock.
Cons: Grip.

Teh Suck.

The evil stock RE92's... Horribly overworked on a stock RS god forbid that there are WRX's that are even slightly modded running this gripless wonder... These tires were unable to realize the full potential of my RS's handling without breaking away after protesting with squeels that sounded like fingernails on a blackboard. They wear well, and are good in the snow.. but if performance is what you want from your tire... these things shoould be the first part to hit the bit bucket. Get new tires!!! These ones are not up to the task of handling anything more then grocery getting...

Pros: Good for weekend trips in the snow.
Cons: Not a performance tire!

They had to have a stock tire. I gues it is a good all wheel tire, but it is not a performance tire. Even if you wanted an all wheel tire there are better ones then this.

I kept them on the stock rims and use them when I head up to tahoe or the mountains in the winter.

Replace them!!!!

Pros: Free with car
Cons: No grip on road or snow

These tires on the stock WRX rims tend to make the car drift in turns as they have very little grip and are very skinny - which is good if you like drifting but bad at all other times.

Thanks to these junk tires and my snow inexperience I hit a big pile of snow at the side of the road when I completely lost grip on ice at about 5mph. I learned that you have to brake way early and be prepared to slide on these tires.

WRX should have come with better tires stock.

Pros: free, came with the car
Cons: grip sucks on these things

took the car up to reno during christmas last fall and the car kept sliding even under slow acceleration. Definitely want to swap these out if you have the cash.

Pros: Good normal driver tire
Cons: Not good for a autocrosser

Well these are great all around tire, but when you race these buggers, they suck! No grip, sidewalls roll really easy even with air pressure up. Just not good for racing.

Pros: semi-quiet, soft ride, stock
Cons: corner like crap, no good in the rain or snow,

these tires are aweful.

They would be ok if they were advertised as a pure stock tire, daily driver, etc.

But they are not. They are advertised as an all weather performance tire. That is what makes these tires horrible.

They can\'t handle the rain. They are aweful in the snow. They break loose at any given time.

They have no business being on a car with the caliber of performance a WRX offers out of the box..not even the wagon.

But removing the expectations and advertising out of the equation they are decent daily driver tires.

If you drive safe in the rain they\'ll stay on the road.
If you drive safe in the snow they\'ll do just fine. I put around 500 miles on them in the snow and I\'m fine.

I am quite surprised that subaru is still using them 5 years into the production of the WRX. I\'ve never met someone that didn\'t like them. It\'s pretty much everyone first mod...haaa.

Put them on a civic or focus, maybe. Subaru. No way.

Pros: break away is predicatable
Cons: too many to list

Hey, for all the bad things people have said, I took these to the track to kill them and they were very predicatable. They screamed like red headed step children, but that was to let you know they were cutting loose. When they did break away, it was progressive and controlled, not sudden and unexpected.

I think people just have unrealistic expectations from these tires. They were acceptable for all season.

Pros: Free with car. Fine for trips to Tahoe
Cons: Not enough grip.

I use these tires in the winter. They get me to Tahoe and back. I actually also use them for rallycross as well.

But I would not use them for heavy driving or track day.

I recommend them for the M&S rating.

Pros: ok all weather handling
Cons: tire wear and dry grip

these aren\'t a death trap like every one says they are. do they suck, of course. went through first set in 7000 miles. did a season of auto-x on them and a lot of off-road driving and mountain roads. side walls are too soft and they wear too fast.

work well as just an occasional use set in the winter or as a spare. even in those cases you can upgrade to better stuff for the same price

Cons: soft sidewall, mediocre dry performance

They are a fine all season tire. All Season tires just suck.

Pros: FREE!!!!!!!! No Tire chains when i go to Tahoe
Cons: weak grips on high speed corners down hills

Somewhat ok tires liked them that they came stock, but weak grips on corners down hills and wet still lose traction got alot of understeer never had an oversteer rather get oversteer than understeer.

Pros: Holds air.
Cons: Not a performance tire by any means. Driven hard - not a lot of grip.

I find it hard to believe that Subaru would put these tires on a 227hp car. Pushed hard these are tires break loose and traction goes bye-bye. It\'s no wonder other-world WRX cars come from Subaru equipped with 17x7 and better tires.

I am sure they are fine for any economy car, but there is a reason the tachometer is in the center of the dash. It\'s a performance car! Give us performance tires standard! (or make it your first mod)

Pros: Wears well.
Cons: Hardly grips.

Its ok for daily driving but not spirited driving. It will squeal and you will slide. Not wide enough also, only 6.5 inches.

Pros: great for all seasons, smooth ride, quiet
Cons: alot of tire rollover, gets \'floaty\' going really fast

If you\'re using them for what they\'re made for, they\'re great tires. People expect to get Racing Compound Tire grip from an all-season that came stock with the car. Not gonna happen. They\'re kinda pricey brand-new in my book, but there are not many tires that are cheaper and better all around. I like them, just bought a second set used (thanks Tyson)...great for all seasons, just what they were made for.

Pros: below
Cons: below

k, while everyone says how much these tires suck, i agree with them...they dont have good grip but cmon, they are stock tires.. i really have had no troubles with my re-92\'s... of course i plan on purchasing better tires later on but for now, they give me a reason to not charge up my credit card for newer tires..
