Description: Rev-Lab and Rallitec have come together to bring your Impreza the Rē
Quick Steering Rack, a left-hand drive rack that outperforms the STi
rack without breaking the bank!

The Rē Q-Rack allows you to reach full lock in just 1 and 1/4 turns
from wheel center (approximately 2.4 turns lock to lock).

Get the competitive edge in autocross, track or rally. Designed for
1998-and-up left-hand drive Impreza models including the New Age
Impreza models in competition use. Tested under the most extreme
competition conditions possible for functionality, durability, and
safety.

Q) What is a quick rack?

A) Have you ever watched the WRC and watched the drivers swing around
a hairpin by just turning the steering wheel like you would change a
lane? A quicker steering rack is what makes this possible. The R2
Q-Rack is not as extreme as the WRC racks, but will work with the
same principle. With our rack the steering input required is 30% less
than stock. In 99% of driving situations you will not have to go hand
over hand with steering inputs.

Q) Can I use the R2 Q-Rack in daily driving?

A) Although our rack was designed for competition use, we were
careful to allow for streetability so that we could transit our rack
equipped cars to the next stage of a rally. At highway speeds it is
not difficult to keep the wheels straight or change lanes without
putting the car off the road. We do recommend you remain aware of the
rack though, and as always, keep both hands on the wheel.

Q) Can I install the R2 Q-Rack myself?

A) Anything can be done with the right tools. The removal of your old
rack does not require any special tools that the weekend shadetree
mechanic would not have in the garage. The install is made much
easier with the use of a hydraulic lift. However, because you will
have to remove your outer tierods, your car may need a toe adjustment
(alignment) after installation.

Q) Why does the R2 Q-Rack seem so expensive?

A) If you have your own steering rack rebuilt, it will cost $850 at
the dealer. A new rack costs $1400. Our rebuild units use 2 different
OEM Subaru rebuild kits, state of the art internals made from the
finest of materials, and specialist assembly. Compare our rack with
the one available from Prodrive for group N Rally cars, and you will
find our rack is less than a third of the cost.

Q) Do you offer any different ratios?

A) The R2 Q-Rack offers a ratio of approximately 12.5:1. For special
motorsport application we can provide 11.5:1, but we caution that a
rack with this ratio will be dangerous in street use and require 100%
concentration at all times.

Q) Why do I need a Quick Rack?

A) For years the Impreza has proven itself a giant killer in all
markets that the WRX was available. The special limited production
models sold to motorsports enthusiasts have come equipped from the
factory with a quick rack, offering world renowned steering response
and feedback. The R2 Q-Rack brings your Impreza up to world
standards.

Q) Can I import a quick rack from Japan or Europe for use in my
left-hand drive Subaru?

A) The quick racks from abroad are only available in right-hand
drive. World class motorsports players like Prodrive offer racks in
LHD trim for competition use, but the cost of these units is out of
reach to the general consumer. R2 Q-Rack brings all the performance
and quality at reasonable cost.

There are 2 options available:

Your own rack rebuilt $1999 CND. Pre built racks are available with a
$500 CND core charge (refunded when we receive a rack in good working
order)

We use genuine Subaru Rebuild kits and our own Rev-Lab/Rallitec
designed internals

Brand new rack $2900 CND (Subject to availability of parts from
Subaru)
