Description: New from Borla, the Hush system is perhaps the only cat-back on the
market that is designed for low noise. It doesn't give up anything in
terms of power (the piping size is a full three inches), but the deep
tone is quieter than most other after-market systems. Like all Borla
systems, it's made entirely from T304 stainless steel, and is backed
by the famous Borla Million Mile warranty. The twin rolled tips give
the car a subdued, tasteful look - very stealthy!

Pros: quite but nice rumble, and big power gains
Cons: ?

listen, to be able to combine an exhaust system that is quite, yet doesnt sound like rice, and also have just as much power gain as others, go for it

Pros: Great sound with good gains on the dyno
Cons: the two bolts that connect to the do-nut flange are two short

Fitment was good and the sound is excellent! Very low rumble at idle and hardly and cabin noise at WOT and hwy speeds.

This exhuast connects with interconnecting tubing, therefore it gets rid of the axleback gasket.

Very good product IMHO.

Pros: price, deep rumble, easy installation, stealthy
Cons: not for those who want loud

The borla hush is very quiet at idle. It has the deep boxer rumble when you accelerate. The installation is pretty easy(use a friend and a lift). It looks very similar to stock from the rear(although the tips are larger and shinier). A great system for someone who wants the power without the noise and wants to retain the stock cats.

Pros:
Cons:

Good quality product. Easy to install.

Word of caution to those mating it with a turbo XS downpipe or other 3" flange (as opposed to the stock donut gasket attatched to the cat converter):

You will need to purchase a 5" long piece of 3" in diameter stainless tubing and a 3" two bolt flange. The stock slip on attatchment it comes will only mate to the stock cat converter. Other than that, no real issues.

Pros: sound (duh)
Cons: fitment with diff guard (see my $2 fix in EJ20 forums)

Installed on a '02 WRX wagon. No drone on the highway. Great sound with the windows open. I had to modifiy the diff guard hardware to get a clear line to the bumper cutout. Currently fitted to OEM downpipe.

Also noticed a slight "wiggle" rattle when I turn the car off as the exhaust gas makes the pipes shake a bit.

Longer exhaust hangers should help fitment.

Pros: Great price, Great sound, Stock looks
Cons: connecting bolts to 3rd cat are too short

Great system. Nice price too. Nice Boxer rumble that is not droning or too loud. Highly recommended. FYI, buy longer bolts to attach to 3rd cat pipe. Borla's bolts were too short.

Cons: had to custom make flange to bolt onto helix dp

i really love this exhaust. ive only had it on for 4 days and everyday i cant wait to go take it for a drive. it is very quiet but since i have no cats, its kinda loud. but not too loud. sounds good.

Pros: Makes the boxer engine sound like it should
Cons: None

At idle it has a nice rumble, at redline it has a great roar to it that just screams \'Boxer engine\'. Install made easy with fittings and clamps.

Looks close to stock so cops don\'t pay as much attention to you.

Best exhaust out there in my mind.

Pros: Quiet, stock look
Cons: maybe too quite?

An awesome cat back for those looking to go \"sleeper.\" Keeps a nice stock twin tip look, and is one of the quietest cat-backs on the market. It does let just enough of that boxer rumble through to make the hairs on your neck stand up though.

Pros: Very sleeper and very quiet even catless
Cons: Read bottom

Only negative aspect is that this catback only bolts onto a stock d/p unless you buy a 3\" flat flange and have a muffler shop weld it on the cat back for you. I had to pay an extra 50 for this so all in all i payed 500.

Right now I am running catless. It has a nice low rumble to it. The exhaust is very quiet. Prob a few decibles above stock exhaust.

Pros: stock looking
Cons:

great design. 3\" piping. not much louder than stock. if catless w/ bov shoots flames out of two tips.

Pros: sound/price/looks/quality/stealth
Cons:

Love the sound of this thing. More stealth than anything else. I wanted the Espelir, but the po po factor is very high.

Pros: quiet yet deep sound, great gains, twin tip, sleeper 3 in
Cons: 2.5 in flange

so many posatives
this is a quiet twin tip 3 in cat back with relly good power gains, the only issue is the 3 inches goes to 2.5 in the last little bit for mating up with the stock downpipe, i had that fixed for i think 60 bucks and they put a three inch flange on!

Pros: One of Thee quiet exhausts on the market.
Cons: Not as \"Hush\" as you\'d think. 2.5 flange. Some have reported that it hangs a little to the left.

Installed on an 04 wrx wagon. No droning at all for me. Took me about 45 min. tops. Very nice tone. Also, very stealth looking.

Pros: great rumble down low and opens up on the high end, no drone good quality, great product
Cons: if you have a aftermarket downpipe prepare to get a flange welded so you can use a flat style gasket instead of the factory donut

no drones, sounds bad (good) at 4500k+ rpms
mine bolted up great, had the slip flange welded so i could bolt up to a helix downpipe, soon after had the 2.5 hickup relapced with a full 3inch piece of tubing, you will want to eventuallly replace that flimsy slip joint with a thick flange (3/8\'s is ideal) that way theres no warping and no leaks i had mine fixed in fremont pm me fore shops names i paid 40 bucks had it fixed sounds great good stuff

Pros: great \"adult\" sound
Cons: none

I have had the exhaust since May 2004 and still look forward to driving my car. I love driving in the parking garage at work where you can really here it reverberate.
If you want non-rice sound, non gawdy appearance, and good value, you can\'t go wrong with this exhaust.

Pros: Sleeper factor, good quality
Cons: ???

Sexiest duel tip for wrx. Others I have seen are thin and cheesy looking. Perfect sound. Stock looking...but better. Borla read my mind w/ this system.

I noticed better throttle response when I bolted this to the stock DP/UP.

Pros: great sound, subtle looks, noticeable power gains
Cons: supplied bolts weren\'t long enough

This is the first power mod I\'ve made to my recently-purchased 2003 WRX wagon. I chose the Borla because I wanted an exhaust that retained a subtle look and wasn\'t unbearably loud. Not only does the Borla Hush fit those requirements to a T, but it also seems to provide a nice additional power gain...I can certainly feel more acceleration and the car seems stronger through the midrange. Save for the supplied mounting bolds (which were too short), I\'m very pleased with my decision.

Pros: High Quality, Million Mile Warranty, Incredible Sound, Not Too Loud.
Cons: If you like the ricey single tip, this doesn\'t have as good of a \"tuner look.\"

Dual Tip doesn\'t look ricey. High Quality Stainless Steel. The sound is not too loud, and everyone seems to agree its the best sounding exhaust. Doesn\'t make annoying drone sound on the freeway.

Pros: Looks STOCK, Quiet rumble
Cons: none !

Great exhuast for those of you who dont want a flashy exhuast . . . sounds stock at idle and at WOT it sounds GREAT ! deep rumble but still not to loud. A LOT quieter than my old HKS Hi-power and GReddy Evo2 !

Pros: Drooling
Cons: none

I checked this Borla set-up extensively. I didnt end up buying due to lack of funds, but they sounded awesome and delivered a small HP boost.

Pros: Quiet but rumbles
Cons:

Quiet till you get on it and has a real deep rumble. Also lets you use it with stock donut or aftermarket flat flang down pipes (have to buy the attatchment).

Pros: Great sound, nice rumble
Cons: A tad too quiet

If you want that sleeper look, but still unleash the boxer rumble this is the exhaust for you. It was a tad to quiet for me, but I always got compliments on it. I sold it a while back and wish I had it back. You get all the performance gains without the unwanted attention.

Pros: sounds great, nice power
Cons: rattles sometimes

The Borla "Hush" sounds great all the time. At idle it sounds deep and mean, but not too loud. When the revs get up there, the exhaust screams (loud enough to compete with fart-cannons in a tunnel). The exhaust does rattle at times, and hits a bolt on the underside of the car (I forget which one it is now though, sorry). The hush doesnt have quite as much low end torque as some of the fart-cannons can provide...but it also doesnt get much attention from police.

Pros: Great look, Good sound, sleeperish
Cons: price, sorta

Awsome boxer roar, a bit loud for a silenced exhaust but sounds cool. Looks good on the car. It feels like there is less backpressure and a bit more power but that could be just the noise. A bit pricey but 100% worth it.

Pros: nice deep tone, sleeper look
Cons: none yet...

just got this on my car today, i love the way it sounds. not too loud, but loud enough you know its there. switching from a Greddy Evo, another very quiet exhaust, sounds very similar to each other. hush seems deeper and felt like i got better throttle response

Pros: looks stock, inexpensive, easy install, not too loud
Cons: intsallation bolts too short!

Installed it on my 04 wrx wagon, took 45 min to an hour. All you need is jack stands, tools, beer to give to a friend to help you and one mechanical bone in your body! Fitment was great, goes around rear diff. with no problems with rubbing like some have. I love the fact that cops aren't drawn to it from looks or sound. It really lets the boxter sound come out throgh the dual chrome tips! My advice b4 you start is to go to home depot, lowes or somewhere they sell bolts and buy some longer ones! The bolts that come with the kit are too damn short and a PITA to install. I give it a 9 out of 10 just for that. I recomend it for a wagon, keeps the noise down inside the cab. (not to mention your girlfriends nagging mouth saying, "Its too loud!!!!!")
