Description: AEMís Big Rotor Brake Kit allows for use of the Original Equipment (O.E.) brake caliper, making it the most affordable big rotor system on the market. AEMís rotors have an average 20-percent larger surface area and can reduce a vehicleís stopping distance by up to 33 percent. These oversized rotors also increase brake torque for reduced pedal effort and have a greater thermal capacity that extends performance during continuous hard braking. Venting was a key consideration in the engineering process of the rotors and ensures maximum heat dissipation for reliable, consistent braking. The AEM Big Rotor Brake Kit includes caliper repositioning brackets, complete premium and aircraft-quality grade hardware, comprehensive instructions and AEM decals. Requires 17" Wheels.

Pros: Price, increased front brake torque, beautiful black
Cons: Not \"track\" rotors, very large size demands certain 17\"s or 18\'s.

The AEM big rotor kit is pretty slick. Includes the rotors, and everything you need to install, including caliper relocation brackets and the hardware. It\'s a simple install with hand tools for the novice mechanic (I know, I did it!).

The instructions are clear and well illustrated, making the install even easier. The only problem/disappointments I had were:

1. The huge rotor size demands filing down the caliper just a bit to ensure no rubbing. This step is even in the instructions, so AEM is aware of the fact that these rotors are just a smidge too big for the WRX front calipers. It just took 5 minutes with a dremel, but when I buy a \"bolt-on\" kit, dremeling to make space for it is a bit annoying.

2. The new caliper position barely fit under my 17\" OZ Superleggeras. There was so little clearance (1-2mm) that my wheel weights had to be moved out of the way to prevent rubbing on the caliper.

Otherwise they make a great replacement for the stock rotors for the price.
