The Tanabe Super Hyper Medallion produces a very low rumble and does not sound at all like a race type muffler. The tone is very agreeable and does not become annoying at highway speeds. This is an exhaust for someone who wants a more aggressive exhaust note, but not a ridiculously loud drone at higher rpm's. This exhaust will not give the biggest power gains, but it is certainly liveable (gf doesn't have a prob). The only dislike I have with the system is that the tip is freakin huge. I heard it was about 4" when I was shopping. So I looked at a ruler and it didn't seem to be too big. I measured it at a whopping 4 1/2". so if you're not fond of the huge tip look elsewhere, but the quality is excellent and the exhaust note is noticeable yet refined.

Pros:
good sound, good performance gain, looks better than pic shows
Cons:
none
The sound is not that of a rice burner, rather of what a performance car sounds like. At idle it gives a nice burble noise, and when driving it is very smooth and has a bit of a rumble like a v-8. The power increase is good and overall it is probably the best, first, after market puchase for any car.

Pros:
Not too loud.
Cons:
The tip
I think I had this on my car for about two weeks. The sound was ok, didn\'t notice any power gains and the tip was outta control big!

Pros:
nice subtlety = no cop harassment
Cons:
illusionary big tip
i came from a blitz nurspec. i love the quietness of the tanabe. at WOT sounds like how it should- i\'m prepping myself for a DP so i know it will get slightly louder. no droning and retains the rumble- i notice it has a slight muffled treble \"crackle\"-
