The PE 1818 Turbo is a high-performance turbo developed by Power Enterprise. This turbo uses IHI turbine & compressor housings and incorporates PE's custom twin-ball bearing center cartridge. This design allows the turbo to be capable of over 410 HP (~340 whp). The PE1818 is a much more streetable turbo than the PE1820 as it features a smaller turbine housing than the PE1820. This smaller turbine housing decreases boost lag, where full boost is possible (depending on modifications and tuning) at around 4000rpm. This turbo is an excellent choice for customers who are seeking a high power turbo, but who are interested in retaining streetability and are not planning to run high boost pressures (21 psi). This turbo is a direct bolt-on for all GC8, GDA, GDB EJ20 turbo engines.
