Pros: Smoother and more durable than stock
Cons: not as smooth as others???

Good product, add a little power(mostly down low), better throttle response, little quicker spool and holds boost a bit longer . The stock "Y" pipe looked terrible when I pulled it out, samco looks to be a much longer lasting pipe, also easier to remove than the stock hose.

Samco hoses are said to be not as smooth as other intercooler hoses, I've never compared side to side so I cant say. Added power not what others have reported it to be, according to my delta dash, confirmed by my butt dyno.

Pros: Value for the $
Cons: Doesn't fir as well with anything but a stock IC

That was one of the first mods I did to my WRX right after I got it. Installation is very easy if you do not replace the BOV return hose, which does nothing for performance. Turbo spool up was much better and I gained some power as well.

Pros: Performance gains, makes it much easier to remove/reinstall IC.
Cons: None.

First of all, you'll want to buy replacements for every last cheezy-ass alcatraz-style stock hose clamp and go with the standard human-style screw-on hose clamps. That will make your life infinitely easier on the install. I also recommend resetting the ECU and doing a few 3rd gear pulls directly afterwards.

The performance gains, while not huge, were definitely noticable across the board. It is actually noticably easier to roll the car off a standstill with less throttle and you can actually feel the car pulling harder on boost. One last perk is that once you have these and an uppipe, some tuners offer ECU maps that specifically tuned for this setup.

Pros: Quality construction, Better throttle response
Cons:

Seems as though my throttle response is better. Nice red bling for my red engine bay.

Cons: ummmmm.....

These things rock. Easy to put in, look great, and they make power for cheap dollars. What isnt to like?

Pros: Great fitment, turbo spools better
Cons: none

these 3ply hoses are good enough and are great quality! Install took about 30minutes and the turbo spools much better with a little more power! I would reccomend them.

Pros: adds a bit of spice to the motor, a small but noticble increas in power
Cons: The 'Y' shapped house could be matted together better

I was able to feel a performance gain and its nice to have some blue under the hood. I would like to point out that, at least on my set, at the spot where one hose is fitted to another to form a 'Y' shape, the inside of the hose was porly cut and over extended into the other hose. I trimmed it with an exacto knife but just seems to me I shouldnt have had to (my trim job isnt pretty but its better than it was).
I am unsure if Perrin or other silicon intercooler hoses tend to have the same defect so I wont praise one above another, only that the Samco's made a diferance I could feel

Pros: they are cool, small children love them also
Cons: If I had to find somthing negative it might be the fact that the manufacturing process leaves a little bit of flashing on the inside of the hoses, but im not loosing sleep over it

I replaced my hoses purely for reliability purposes, but was pleasantly surprised to discover that they actually do allow the engine to make more power, it is a noticeable gain in the butt dyno, I had to laugh. Throw the factory hose retainers in the trash before they shred your hands and buy some hose clamps, but be carefull not to tighten them too tight or you may cut the silicone. Iv been told this is "technically speaking" an illegal mod in the great state of California , think about that before you buy the red ones, even though I believe the STI has them installed from the factory. smog laws, go figure

Pros: Looks great, flows better than stock
Cons: Tells cops that your car is not stock

My stock Y-pipe was warped by heat and I didn\'t realize this until I put in these new hoses. The hoses look great, fit decent into place and give you a sense of wellbeing knowing your turbo will flow at its maximum potential. They are worth the price and it\'s a fun way to learn how your turbo and intercooler work during the installation.

Pros: cheap faster spool, more power
Cons: it took forever to install, but i had my gf do it for me!!!!

i picked some of these up as a quick alternative to buying a tmic. i figured it was an easy enough mod to teach my gf how to work on a car with. So, a lot longer than it will probably take most of you, later i had my hoses intalled.
fit is good, quality is good
i didnt really notice much gains in the power department, but maybe my butt dyno isnt tuned good enough

Pros: Easy to install
Cons: Get\'s shreded over time

this makes it much much easier to put the top mount i/c back on in my opinion

but i noticed over time from the clamps that they left slices in the silicone hose

can you guess my problem?

Pros: Good bang for the buck
Cons: difficult return hose install

These are really easy to install... except the long skinny return hose. increased throttle response, quicker spool.

All in all - good stuff. Worth every penny.

Pros: Smooth, nice look
Cons: None

Great product. To be honest, no real power gains, but now I don\'t have to worry about the ghetto stock tubes slitting and craking in the futer. Plus the blue looks SCHWEET. Only downside are the huge \"SAMCO\" emblemsa all over them... kinda ricey.

Pros: Some power down low, looks better than OEM rubber hoses.
Cons: Bruised and bloodied knuckles and fingers from install... PITA to install the BOV re-circ hose.

Very smooth and well constructed hoses. Gives the engine bay a nice clean look. Hopefully will last a lot longer than OEM hoses. As with other reviews, replace the cheesy clip-type clamps with screw-type ones. Nice mod, but a PITA to install the BOV re-circ hose.

Pros: Throttle Reponse / Spool / Butt Dyno
Cons: none

I have had 2 sets of these on my car since I\'ve owned it and I was happy in both cases. As a matter of fact, I still have a black set on my car until my TMIC comes. Unfortunately these do not work with all aftermarket TMICs, but they do certainly give a good feel on the butt-dyno and are proven to hit up to 5whp!

Pros: Smoother than stock, increased turbo spool up
Cons: fitment was a little difficult

These hoses help the turbo spool up a bit, but the fitment is a little difficult.

Also, dresses the interior nicely.
