Quite whiter, a bit brighter

Cons:

A bit more brighter would have been nicer
|

Nice price for the results. A much whiter light. Its a bit brighter, but I wish it was more so. You wont be like "WOAH! NICE!" while driving. But you'll find it looks nicer from the outside and one open roads your view is extended a bit. The whiter light I find makes for easier focusing on objects ahead.

i thought they would blow night driving away for how much they were, but htey were not much brighter then they other sylvanias, but the thing i noticed was that since the light was cleaner, not yellowish there was a better contrast of color at night, you actualy can seee thing better(distinguish) i gues is waht i am trying to say. easy change.
now all they need is a 100 watter for the foglights, to match beam colors when they are both on.

To be honest it doesn't get too much better than this with a 9007 in the stock fixture. The light is slightly improved and works very well with some ion crystals in the fog lights.

Not as bright as I'd've liked but I've had this set for about a month longer than the EuroLights that burned out in a month.
These are noticably brighter than the stock crap.

No downsides. It doesn\'t get better than this for a halogen bulb. Using H4\'s on a 97 Legacy, gave me a lot more usable light.

Good bulbs for a good price. The illumination is crisper than stock, and I noticed an improvement in how bright my headlights are. They\'re not ricey blue bulbs, just good clean light. About the best you\'re going to get before getting into overwattage bulbs.

Pricey for Halogens

They are not HIDs look a likes nor are they Ebay blue cheapos that burn out in 2 weeks. They are alot better than stock, I can see a contrast between these and my driving lights in color.
Just don\'t expect HID output from a Halogen fixture and you won\'t be disappointed.

If you want a nice looking bulb that performs well these are a good choice. For better lighting I\'d stick to Xtravisions.

A pure white look, makes night driving more clear
|
|
Cons:
|
Not as bright as most after market bulbs
|
|
Well, I am not one for the stock color of the headlights in cars. I origionally bought myself a set of green krypton bulbs. Me, I like being different from all those who get the \"HID look\" of the bluish bulbs. What I really wanted were headlights of a pure white look.
One of my friends had told me that Sylvania had just come out with a new line up of headlight bulbs, the Silver Stars. It was almost too good to be true, but I was a bit unsure because I did not think that you could get a pure white look from regular bulbs. So I went to Walmart, because my friend told me that is where they were selling them for cheap. But they did not carry the size for the WRX. I went to a few other stores, they too didn\'t carry the size. I ended up having to buy them from the web site. I opened up the package when I got it and the tint on the bulb was purplish, this caused me to raise my one eye brow. So I put them in and turned them on. Even though it was day time, I could tell that there was no tint of color.
I patiently waited until it got dark outside, it was a long day. Finally it was dark, so I went out side and turned them on. I was so amazed of how clearly I could see the colors of all the objects that the light touched. It was like looking at the object during the day, they had kept their \"true color\" I guess you can say. I went for a little drive. \"Wow,\" I thought to myself, I could see things so clearly. I turned on my brights to see how that looked. I was a little disappointed, but I guess that everything has their flaws. The Silver Star bulbs were not as bright as most after market bulbs. But I still love them, they give such a clean look to my car at night.
I highly recommend these bulbs for anyone looking to take out all tint of color from the headlights of your car. These make night driving unbelievably clear. There is so much color, everything isn\'t so dull. The only problem that I have with them, is that they are not as bright as most bulbs...

Pure white light beam, improved nightime visibility, high end look when on at night.

Cons:

Nothing

One cannot stress enough that the most important element of night time driving is visibility and lighting --- The Sylvania Silverstar headlamps improve dramaticaly your night time vision and illuminate the roadways with a more sharper beam of white light. I have tried other aftermarket headlamps in the past, including Wagner headlamps, but the Sylvania Silverstars blew them all away. Street signs and objects at night are more brighter and sharper, thus allowing improved reaction time and increased safety. --- And on an aesthetic note, the Silverstars add a very high end look to your vehicle that really makes a bold statement. I highly recommend the Silverstars.

bluish coating on the bulbs

If you\'re looking for better lighting than stock and you aren\'t going to get an HID kit, you\'re better off getting the Sylvania Xtravisions. The Silverstars actually have a bluish film/coating on the bulbs which prevents maximum light getting through. The Sylvania Xtravisions are cheaper, and perform better than these bulbs. If you\'re in need of the blingin\' color of the bulbs than these are for you. If you\'re just searching for better light output than stock, stick with the less-expensive and better performing Xtravisions.

Hey they\'re whiter and better for visibility.
A bit costly but I haven\'t had any quality issues like some of the crappy bulbs on the market.
Had them on for about 10K miles and no problem yet.
Edit: I\'ve now had them on for about 15 months with no problems what so ever...good stuff.

Though I did see an improvement in lighting with these, I wouldn\'t buy them again. I\'ve gone through 5 bulbs in the last probably year and 1/2 or so. The low beams is normally what goes and they seem to burn out within a few weeks of each other. I was always careful when handleing them. Oh well. Back to stockers.
