The Kumho ECSTA (x' ta) Supra 712 is the newest member of Kumho's "summer" performance tire family. Developed to meet the demands of drivers who require ultra high performance handling and traction, the ECSTA Supra 712 offers a unique combination by blending value-oriented pricing with European design and styling.
On the outside, the ECSTA Supra 712 molds Kumho's advanced silica tread rubber compound into a wide directional tread pattern to provide dry traction and handling. Its angular tread blocks are separated by high angle lateral grooves and a large circumferential center groove to resist hydroplaning and enhance wet traction by evacuating water from between the tire's contact patch and the road (earning the highest "AA" UTQG Traction Rating). Internally, the ECSTA Supra 712's twin steel belts are reinforced with two nylon cap plies to provide high speed durability while delivering responsive handling and stable cornering. Finally, a new casing profile reinforced with a polyester cord body enhances ride comfort.
Kumho ECSTA Supra 712 tires feature black letter styling and are available in 55-, 50-, 45-, 40- and 35-series; H-, V- and Z-speed rated sizes for 14" to 18" wheel diameters.

Pros:
Decent grip, decent in wet
Cons:
Quick wear, not as predictable as others
These are a decent choice for the price. Certainly not the best performances, but for the price you really can't do better. Great for street tires, but when I went to the road course I changed to Yoks at about $100 each.
They just aren't as predictable. I found when they start to break its just not as graduals as with other tires, like the Yoks. This leads to more unpredictable understeer with a more stock-ish WRX (or understeer, depending on your setup).

Pros:
Price, Looks, Wear
Cons:
Grip
Foor the price it is a really good tire. It wears very well. However the grip is not nearly as good as some of the other performance tires out there. Good upgrade from stockers on a budget!

Pros:
Good in the Wet — found them cheap
Cons:
not as much grip as I thought
I went from 16 with OEM R92\'s to 17\'s with these. Got them cheap and I think they are great for the money and great for an upgrade from stock. They even did well in the mountains with about two feet of snow fall. I was hesitant at first driving them around in the snow (my friend lives up a steep hill) but I made it around with no surprises, just drive a little slower than I would have with snow rated tires. But with the suby you can drive with confidence in the snow — thats a big plus for me!

Pros:
Great price, nice traction.
Cons:
Again, these are great for the price. I\'ve had two sets of them so far and they seem to last about 30k miles. An absolute improvement over the stockers. Recommended.
