Pros: Much more stopping power, but still OK street pads
Cons: Certainly not very high performance pads

I put these on just before I went to Thunderhill and they served me well. I also used them in conjunction with Goodridge SS lines. The lines brought the brake power on fast and the Hawks really helped keep it there. They definitely did not fade as quickly as the everyday pads I use. I take them off when I'm not at the track. I'm sure they would be fine on the street (unlike some other performance pads) but its such a waste.

Pros: They Don't Let Up
Cons: Minor Mods required for basic front caliper installation (barely negative)

After catching a ditch on a rough, one-lane (no stipe down the middle), steep, one very tight downhill turn after another, mountain road (with NO cell phone service) I felt it was time to back-up my Brembo cross-drilled OEM replacement rotors and Stop Tech braided lines with real pads.

Love'm on the street, as the street up here in the mountains is a little different. Great little confidence booster.

The stock basic calipers on my GF8 accepted the outer pad on each side with no problem, but the inner pads on each side required a little metal grinding in order to slip them in.

I then beveled the inner radius on all four pads to keep all of the surface on the usable area of the rotor. Out-of-the-box they reach beyond the inner radius of the friction surface.

Excellent upgrade even for mildly modified or stock applications!

Pros: Stops faster than stock, no brake fade w/ new rotors
Cons: LOTS of brake dust

These brake pads make your car stop much faster with the stock brake system and upgraded rotors. Downside comes in a TON of brake dust all over your wheels which has to be cleaned almost every day if driven hard. Break-in process was easy and painless and the brakes stop hard every time with no fade whatsoever that I can tell.

Pros: Quick stopping, very little fade
Cons: Brake dust, wear

Installed Hawk HPS\'s when I upgraded to WRX front brakes. Great pads, work better than stock by far, make alot of brake dust but during track events very little fade.

Pros: Great daily driver upgrade
Cons: lots of dust

Almost any upgraded pads are going to dust more. These aren\'t that bad.

Great bite, little fade, no noise. Very good upgrade. I got Goodridge SS lines at the same time.

Good enough for hard street driving.

Pros: price ain\'t bad for what you get
Cons: mild noise but can\'t hear it over cd player anyway

I\'ve only had my new pads for about 4 weeks. I only use the car for street purposes so I can\'t rate it for track use. So far so good. stops better then OEM hands down. Also went about $20 cheaper for all four wheels then OEM.

Pros: Inexpensive and effective
Cons: Street rating only

Used for the street exclusively, and combined with slotted rotors, steel lines, and racing fluid. Vastly improved bite and feel, although I did not use it long enough to determine rotor-friendliness.
