Description: The HiPower is a good, legal catback system. You can get HKS USA documentation stating that its legal (at least for the first 13 months of life) from HKS. It certainly opens up the pipe and adds some mid to high range power. It sounds deep and growly without being too loud, inside or outside the cabin. The basic HiPower and the CarbonTi are essentially the same exhaust system, except that the Ti has a Titanium exhaust tip and a carbon fiber wrap around the muffler. The sound and performance are the same. Its just a few hundred bucks more for bling bling

From HKS:

Hi-Power Exhaust systems incorporate a race inspired angled mounted stainless steel muffler and piping design for greater flow and higher-PRM power gains. Depending on the application, piping size ranges from 55 to 95mm and utilize tips 96 or 120 mm tips.

Special Edition HKS Carbon / Titanium Hi-Power Exhaust systems are available for certain popular applications. These exclusive versions of the Hi-Power Exhaust consist of a carbon fiber wrapped stainless muffler shell, a 120mm titanium tip, and polished stainless steel piping.

Pros: Looks good, sounds good, high quality part
Cons: None really, I think I had a unique installation issue

My only issue was that I had to drill out the flange farthest from the muffler to get the spring bolts to fit. No documentation about this. The problem and needed mofication was obvious... but still frustrating. Otherwise, an excellent product.

Pros: Easy install, good sound
Cons: looks

Any cat-back is going to be easy to install. I didn't have any issues with the spring bolt, luckily. I did notice a little bit of a difference on the top end...seemed to pull a little bit harder. The exhaust has a nice sound to it. Pretty deep sound, but can get a little loud when you are on it in the upper rpm's. The only thing I don't like, really, is how it looks. The big shiny muffler (non-carbon fiber) is a beacon in the night and I'm not crazy about that. It is also a little pricey compared to other exhaust systems.

Pros: Sounds great... Quiet at idle... WOT whole different issue :)
Cons: it may get to loud at 3k rpm and above... w/o cats that is

Pros: seductive looks, nice power gains, sweet sweet audio waves...
Cons: gigantic black hole tip, entire can visible because it hangs low

High quality product. Great fitment, and all necessary parts are included. Installation is easy for the shade-tree mechanic. The sound is like your favorite music, it just sings... smooth like Burt Bacharach at an idle and screams wicked loud like Fred Durst when you're wide open. The can is large and hangs down low, so it is very visible, but even on lowered cars, it's not low enough to rub on speed bumps and the like. all stainless/ti/carbon fibre, so nothing to rust or fall apart. again, great product. worth the extra $$$

Pros: Improved Low End, Deep Smooth Sound, Great Looks, Quality Construction
Cons: can't use skid plates

I was originally going to buy the Cobb Tuning Catback but after having my order delayed for 2 weeks I cancelled it and bought this instead. I'm Glad I did, I couldn't be happier with this cat back.

Asside from it just looking plain bad ass (not just the tip but it's the only exhaust that comes out at an angle racing style) It has far less bends in the pipe than any other exhaust for the WRX that I've seen, which means better flow.

some people say with a lowered car it scrapes but I've had no problems.

the sound is great it's deep and throaty, and sounds like it will tear up the road, sounds even better when someone in a civic with a lawnmower fart box pulls up next to you

the best part though is the improved low end. before installing this my WRX would choke like it was going to stall if I drove below 2000RPMs with this on it's smooth down to 1200!!! which is great when starting out from a stop or if you tend to drive towards the lower end around town.

Pros: Distinctive styling, great sound, extra power
Cons: Hangs very low under car

Love this exhaust. Deep and growly, but not especially loud. Looks bad ass from any angle. Can definitely feel the extra power. Only complaints are that it hangs too low. I like to do a little off-road in my wrx and the exhaust hangs a little low and it rubs the ground often..and my car isnt lowered. Also had a minor issue with the muffler clamp hanger, the threads were not matched right and the screws were a pain in the ass to get in correctly.

Pros: deep rumble, 3 inch piping, looks real good
Cons: hangs a little lower than other exhausts, might scrape

i love the hks carbon ti, i love the sound, the looks (carbon fiber canister with titanium tip)

fairly expensive for a catback system in my opinion but just try to look for a used one in good condition and it wont be that bad. Also becareful when u are on deep slops, u might scrape the bottom of the exhaust canister

Pros: looks cool, sounds cool, makes you cool.!@
Cons: no clear instructions

if i didnt know anything about cars then the installation would of been a problem. there were no clear pictures. i got lucky and chose to leave the donut gasket off from the cat to the axel or i would of been a world of hurt. the replace ment gasket didnt fit perfect but it works. Performance wise i love it no cons.

Pros: Great Sound, Power You can Feel, Great Quality
Cons: None

I love this exhaust!! I have a downpipe too and it really lets the boxer engine scream! I have only had one little problem, the pipe is rubbing alittle on so metal under the car, but it doesn't bother me.

Cons: comes w/o gasket or silencer

Awesome cat back
my first mod and i\'m loving it, only problem is that doesn\'t come with a silencer, and when i\'m drive at 2 am or later it really grabs the attention of cops

Pros: Sound is awesome, perfect fitment. Flex section.
Cons: Tip is really huge.

The sound with this exhaust running catless is incredible. I don\'t think it\'s too loud and you get used to it quickly. Gurgles and pops when engine breaking are awesome. There is a flex section where the 3rd cat used to be that is great. Install is super easy and there was no rubbing or hitting at all. Highly recommended.

Pros: Great quality build, look good, sounds great
Cons: Price, attention from cops and ricers

I had this exhaust for a good year, it had an awesome sound, looks good and shoots nice fireballs.

The reason I got rid of this exhaust was because of all the negative attention from others (Cops & Ricers) also if your car is lowered and you have a high drive way it gets all scratch up because of the huge canister.

Pros: looks,performance,sound =]
Cons: overpriced.

This exhaust is freaking sweet! I had the greddy evo2 before this exhaust and i traded it because it was to quiet for me. Once I slapped this exhaust on, It was a whole different feeling! It also looks great and sounds great, esp at WOT. If your looking for a badass exhaust then stop looking and buy this one.
