the $75 dollars is about an average.
I have owned 2 combat knobs, a carbon race knob and a standard sphere knob.
I broke one combat in half. they other one\'s leather started to tear and the knob just fell apart. Those 2 knobs together lasted me about a year.
The carbon race is a great knob. Looks good. Still holding strong. Draw back is that the stupid sticker falls off of it. It falls off all of their spherical knobs. And it isn\'t easy to get replaced. They told me to go back to the shop I purchased at. I said...so you want me to bother a shop to order me a tiny sticker? Why can\'t you do it. They refused. I said...well my shop is out of business..what do I do now. They said go somewhere else.
Just a huge mess. Wouldn\'t it be easier to send me a sticker or have me send in a couple bucks to get one.
Beyond that the process of securing them to your shifter can often damage it. Leaving huge holes in the threads from the screws. They don\'t offer very many knobs predrilled for cars and not many places carry them.
If you purchase one for your subaru I highly suggest pulling your sticker off and super glueing it down and I also highly suggest you get a paulie adapter.
My next knob will not be a momo.

I have the blue Momo combat shift knob and I love it. I can\'t think of anything wrong with it. The feel is great, and the fit is good. I\'ve had this for more than a year now, and the finish is still like new.

where should I start?
I have the rubber and metal one with the momo badge at the top that matches the steering wheel badge. It looks awesome in the interior...what the factory should have put on.
The good stops there. It was expensive to begin with. The installation instructions were vague (not that big of a deal on a shift knob, i know, but still...you pay the premium for a brand name, you expect better.) The momo emblem, what i paid 80 bucks for, fell off within a month. I reglued it. It fell off again. I reglued it. It fell off again. I got my mom, an excellent artist/craftsman, to reglue it. It didn\'t fall off again, but it is cloudy from all the damn superglue all over it.
Well, when the mischevious thing realized it was foiled as far as the emblem went, the top half of the knob decided to come unglued from the bottom. Sweet. Now I have half a shift knob with ugly, sticky glue all over the top of it. Another mom-fix and it seems to be fine.
In addition to all this, the allen set screws under the screw on bottom cap back out seemingly at random...I have to remove the cap and tighten them monthly. Once, at the track, I banged a hard 1-2 shift and the entire thing exploded with set screws flying everywhere.
But it sure as hell looks nice. I might mount it on my wall someday.

To me, this is the best looking shift knob on the market. I bought the half aluminum, half leather momo knob and I couldn\'t be happier with the looks. It flows nicely with the rest of the interior and is a noticeable upgrade to the overall look of the interior. The only problem that I have had is that the metal on the knob can get hot if left in direct sunlight for long periods of time. Other than that, this shift knob is great!
