Description: The HKS Super Sequential Blow-Off Valve (SSQV) is a dual stage pull type relief valve. Unlike other blow off valves that are push type, the SSQV will not leak under high boost conditions nor under vacuum at idle. Being of a pull type valve structure, the SSQV can not physically leak under any level of boost because boost pressure also keeps the valve closed against its seat. The SSQV is actuated by pressure alterations only, not by the rate of pressure or vacuum in the line, which ensures a quick valve response and complete closure during idle. On typical blow-off valve designs, a large valve is utilized in order to accommodate high boost / high horsepower applications. However, these large valves tend to react slowly and require high activation pressure to open, therefore are not able to activate and prevent compressor surge at light-load conditions. On the other hand, smaller, fast reacting valves do not discharge the airflow capacity required for high horsepower applications and tend to creep open and leak as the boost pressure overpowers the spring on these push type valves. For maximum performance, the HKS SSQV incorporates both a small primary valve for ultra quick activation, along with a larger secondary valve for additional discharge capacity. The SSQV is engineered to initially open the small primary valve at light throttle and load conditions, then sequentially opens the secondary valve for additional relief capacity under high boost and load conditions. The SSQV is constructed of polished billet aluminum, which ensures long-term durability and visual appeal. The mounting base utilizes a circular mounting flange that provides exception flow and complete secure mounting via a C-clip snap ring and O-ring gasket. The triple-fin discharge port design produces a powerful and unique aggressive blow-off sound along with added visual distinction.

Pros:
Cons:

Altho the stock WRX bov is good enough for up to 20+psi of boost, but if you want the bov sound, HKS SS BOV is something you can consider! Never had a problem when installed w/ my FMIC.. It actually makes the turbo spools up smoother and better.

Pros: Very Simple install
Cons: tin plug included did not fit perrin bypass hose

The SSQV is very well built. Asthetically and mechanically it is appealing. My only concerns with the product are that much of the technical information included is in Japanese, and I don't understand it. The second issue is the tin plug used to close the recirculation/bypass hose from the turbo inlet. I have the perrin hose kit and it is a slightly larger opening than stock. I used some electrical tape to make the plug thicker, then put it in the hose, along with a clamp, for good measure. The product makes a nice, clean hiss, ans as it is a dual stage, it releases low and high pressure. Please don't post questions here. use the forums.

Pros: Looks awesome works well
Cons: EXPENSIVE

Great quality and sound. Swapable inserts to change sound. A bit costly, in compariso to other BOV\'s on the market which hold the same boost.

Pros: One of the best BOV in terms of quality, very audible, able to switch sounds
Cons: Expensive, a hassle to recirculate, might hit the hood if not careful

The HKS SSQV is built very nicely. One look at the design tells you this was made and engineered with throught and consistence. It also mates up to the IC easily (if you have the WRX adapter) and only takes about 5 minutes to install everything.

However, the PSHHH you get is very high pitched and somewhat loud. Whether this is what you are looking for, it can be both a good or bad thing considering almost anyone around you can hear it (Mr. Popo included). It also is very expensive and you can forget getting the recirculating adapter for it if you\'re mating to a stock IC because the plumbing required is very difficult to route and there simply isn\'t enough room to do so.

Pros: nice looks, nice sound, easy to install.
Cons: None

This is a good product and I have put 30,000 miles on it and have had no problems what so ever. It took 15 minutes to install it and I haven\'t touched it since.

Pros: Cool sound and adjustability
Cons: none

No 10 because it doesn\'t make the car faster.

The trick is to adjust the valve correctly because it comes shipped adjusted for the JDM STi.

I have no idle problems and just good warm feelings everytime it goes pssssssst!
