Description: The Potenza S-03 Pole Position is a Max Performance "summer" tire that was developed to meet the needs of the drivers of high performance sports cars, coupes and sedans by bringing Bridgestone's F1 tire technology and design to the streets while blending dry and wet traction without abandoning comfort and wear. The Potenza S-03 Pole Position features Bridgestone's UNI-T AQ II Technology that uses advanced compound and construction features to enhance and preserve wet traction through the tire's life. The Potenza S-03 Pole Position provides max performance that lasts.

On the outside, the Potenza S-03 Pole Position molds a Super Long Link Carbon Black, Dual Layer Tread II compound into a directional tread design that features notched shoulders, large "High Nose" intermediate tread blocks (that are shaped like the side view of a "high nose" F1 car) and a continuous center rib to provide quick dry road response and handling. Super Slant 3D grooves help direct and evacuate water through the tire to resist hydroplaning. The continuous center rib also helps reduce noise while providing constant road contact to enhance straight-line stability. Internally, the Potenza S-03 Pole Position features Bridgestone's Computer Optimized Component System which blends twin steel belts with spiral-wrapped Jointless Cap & Layer Construction which stabilize the tread area to enhance handling, high-speed capability and ride quality while minimizing weight.

Pros: great wet and dry tire
Cons: a bit expensive

Great tire in general. I would definitely buy them again. They work very well in dry and wet conditions. They can be used on the street and on the track providing a very good amount of traction. The downside is that they do indeed cost quite a bit, but they also last a while. I have done about 7 or 8 track events on my set of tires and driven about 7K miles on 'em off the track.

Pros: Grip.
Cons: Wear. Price.

I was spoiled when I bought my first performance car. The wheel/tire combo had these on it. Best grip and I never made then squeal. I would get them again if I could afford it.

Pros: Great traction, doesn\\\'t squeel, good looking tread pattern
Cons: Tramlines, harsh ride, wears quickly with aggressive driving

They came with my UK 17-inch wheels I partially traded for. I have 215/45ZR17 tires on my car and they handle great. A huge improvement over the crappy RE92\'s they put on the standard WRX cars.

I\'m not sure if it\'s my setup or what but on occassion it grabs odd grooves in the road and pulls the car. I think they call that tramlining or something like that. It\'s not terrible, just takes you off guard if not prepared for it. Overall I am very please with the tires. Awesome performance. Sticky tires give great cornering.

My only real complaint is the harshness the ride gives on a 215/45R17. The roads here in San Jose aren\'t the smoothest and after living with this tire over that last 15,000miles or so, I have to say I couldn\'t wait to go to a slightly softer tire. I ended up replacing these tires with the Pirelli PZero Nero M+S which is rated high on wet/dry traction and has the ability to see snow action too. I\'ve only lived with the Pirelli\'s for about a day now but I think they are the compromise tire I was looking for. Only time will tell.

If your roads are smooth or you can live with a harsh ride, then these tires rock! Great wet/dry traction.
