Pros: Beautiful fit and finish, ceramic coated for heat, low price, sounds great, low weight
Cons: no devorced waste gate

I have the HKS Hi-Power Cat back and this was an excelet addition.

Unlike all the pictures online, I think a new version has been released that comes in black (ceramic coated) for heat (just like the cat back) Also this pipe weighs next to nothing in comparison to the stock downpipe... (probably due to the lack of cats)

The fit and finish is beautiful, the bends are smooth inside and out and the welds are flawelss. After the install I got a fantastic low growl... it sounds like a JDM MONSTER now... I find it quite impossible to drive around without a simle on my face.

Being an engineer and having read lots of literature on turbo engineering the whole "bellmouth" that alot of downpipes have is completely useless. unless the wastegate is separate from the exhaust for atleast 18" it doesn't actually do anything usefull, so why pay $400 for a bell mouth?

I love this downpipe and it was worth every last penny

Pros: Cheap to buy
Cons: Mouth design

Nice for those budget minded. Infact, I think it is about the least expensive \"name brand\" DP out there. The only aspect I\'m not a fan of is its mouth design. Instead of a nice big bell it retains the stock design with a flat plate. I don\'t know how much this really affect performance, but I\'d rather spend the extra sough on a Helix. Can\'t beat HKS build quality, though.

Pros: Upgrade from stock, inexpensive
Cons: could get better

This was the 2nd mod I did to my car without knowing better. A shop put it in for me and it threw a CEL which I had to fix. If I had to do it over, I would definitely go with Helix or PDE. May pay more, but I personally think the High-flow cat, and bellmouth design is worth it.

On the plus side, the pipe was inexpensive. It\'s a good upgrade over stock for sure.

Pros: Catless
Cons: Not bellmouth or divorced wastegate

My friend had this on his 01 RS w/ EJ22T swap. Due to the poor design, IMO he was losing some power. He switched to a Helix and found much better results. I would stay away from an HKS dp even though they are a very reputable company.

Pros: Easy to install, better than stock, best bang for the buck plus \"Name Brand\", quality built
Cons: Catless, Compared to other downpipes you can see why its cheap

Good quality built downpipe, not very expensive for a brand name but when compared to other downpipes you can see why.
the waste gate was the same as the one on the stock downpipe so you can tell that HKS had in mind for people who are running the stock turbo.

Pros: Elimates cats, sounds good
Cons: not a bell mouth

If you\'re on a tight budget and don\'t want to buy used then this is the dp for you. Otherwise save you pennies and get a better quality one. I threw a CEL within two miles, after installing this. Has the 3 inch flange so it wont fit that easy to your stock cat-back or exhausts with the stock type flange.
