Description: This rear strut tower bar looks just like the STi version that costs a lot more.
Fully functional aluminum bar has STi cherry blossom red strut mount plates.

Pros: Much cheaper than a real STi strut bar, bar can be removed leaving the mounts in place
Cons: Has some fitment issues, reduces trunk space abit when installed

This rear strut tower bar looks just like the STi one, but is much cheaper.
The paint matches well and the aluminum bar is nicely welded.
There are some fitment issues on some sedans in the rear where the bar mounts pass into the trunk through some existing holes in the sheet metal.
The metal may need to be bent or ground down to accommodate the mounts.
The bar is not adjustable and fits very tightly, so having the car off the wheels helps with getting everything lined up.
For wagons, a small section must be cut out of the fabric on the struts to allow the bar to pass through.
The bar can be unbolted when needed leaving the mounts in place if the upper back 3 inches of the trunk space is needed.

Pros: the price, Only need to remove two bolt to take out
Cons: fabric top do'nt fit strut tops

Easy to put in my wagon. made two small cuts on each tower and just folded fabric down. So, if I remove mounts wont be able to tell it cut.

Pros: Looks awesome, cheap but does the same job
Cons: Have to cut the tower cover a little to fit, gets cratched whe nloading stuff in the wagon

The bar is there to stiffen up the car and on my wagon it does make a small difference. I did the cusco sway bar right after so hard to say for sure it is different. I like the looks though. lots of comments and even if it takes up space, i keep a wrenches in the car in case i need to remove the bar.

Pros: Looks Great, Easy Install
Cons: poor fitment, weak material

the fitment was pretty bad, and the metal is soft (questioning how well it will actually stiffen the car) They do fit properly through the brace holes subaru provided... if it doesn't then you probably have the braces backwards (they are directional). When I got the brace out of the package one of the end brackes was bent half way across about 45 degrees... I put it on the ground and just stepped on it and it bend back flat... but still it's a structual part and shouldn't be fragile enough to bend in shipping.

The functionality is questionable the bolts fit VERY loosely through the brace so if the brackets actually fit properly you could probably move the braket around with at least a half inch of play. Most other brackets like the real sti and the cusco one have tension bolts to set the tension across the strut towers, this one has nothing.

All in all I can't complain much I didn't pay much and it does look great, when I have a bit more cash I'll probably buy a REAL brace. Probably one with a third point in the center.

Pros: Increases stiffness
Cons: maybe a little less trunk space... maybe, pita to install the brackets.

I don\'t know what everyone\'s talking about regarding fitment, mine fits great.

Pros: stiffens up rear a little
Cons: not quite a easy fit

cheap, does its job. when installed it seems to be longer on one side.. didn\'t measure... don\'t care. its a piece of metal. trunk space? i don\'t believe in subwoffers in an STi.. so that issue does not apply.
