When all out cooling is required the TXS FMI can take the heat. So in typical TurboXS fashion we've developed with Hyperflow, one of the LARGEST front-mount intercoolers you can fit into your bumper. The TurboXS FMI dwarfs the factory intercooler by 3.3 times. A better flowing, large core volume means more cooling capacity!
By placing the intercooler in front of the radiator and outside of the engine bay, you reduce heat soak and increase air flow across the intercooler. The extra capacity and increase air flow allow for more boost. A huge single inlet ensures ample flow into the bar-and-plate core for more efficient cooling, while the large polished cast alloy end tanks distribute heat evenly across the intercooler and aid in smoothing air flow.
Mandrel bent aluminum tubing is lightweight and keeps air flowing fast and consistent. While there is more “lag” than our TMI, the extra HP is well worth it for road and drag racers.
Massive bar and plate construction reduces pressure drop over stock tube and fine designs allowing the turbocharger to spin slower while producing the same boost pressure in the intake manifold. Not only will this prolong turbocharger life but will also reduce the air temperature exiting the turbocharger, effectively increasing intake charge density.
Superior design allows you to keep your factory fog lights and battery. No cutting of the bumper beam is required as a new bumper beam is provided in the TurboXS FMI Kit.

Pros:
Keep fog lights, no cutting of inner fender/bumper bar
Cons:
Must use a Turbo XS short ram filter as well (not included)
Because of the pipe routing and included bumper bar, installation was a snap. As with all front mounts, the bumper skin needs to be trimmed considerably to clear the core. I couldn't use my Blitz SUS intake with this IC because the fliter would not clear the IC pipes and would push my hood up. A smaller short ram must be used, such as the Turbo XS or GP Moto intakes. I am waiting on a new turbo, but I am running 17 PSI on the stocker with the cold side of the IC core cool to the touch.

Pros:
It came with everything you need to install it.
Cons:
Fitment will be a little different between the 02 and 03's. It tends to fit a little better on the 02's.

Pros:
easy install
Cons:
04s not much luck w/fogs
installation and fitment was great on just the piping....but when it came to fitting the front bumper back on (i have a 04) it was a *****...A *****, i understood you could keep the fogs, but aparently you cant unless you trim away at the housing...and trim away quite a bit...so if you really want to keep the fogs, i suggest have a body shop do the trimming of the front bumper...from what i understand the 02-03 have a hell of alot of better luck than us 04-05s...good luck

Pros:
bar and plate also easy to install
Cons:
none
I love my fmic I also love how it comes with a bumper beam to mount the fmic. I would of hated to cut my own bumper beam. I had my fmic and piping coated black to give a stealth look. the only thing I wish was that the couplers were black instead of blue. But lag isn't to bad with it and i'm running a 20g with a 2.0 The hardest part w/install is not the fmic itself but cutting the bumper. What a pain
