This shiftknob looks like it came OEM from Subaru, even moreso if you have the JDM GDB Steering wheel, as the aluminum ring around the logo on the knob matches the one around the horn button.
Someone on i-Club makes an aluminum adapter which allows you to more rigidly mount a MOMO shiftknob, I recommend you buy it from them.
My shiftknob has loosened once in the past year or so, so I had to use threadlock, and I'll buy the adapter at some point.

You can now get these shift knobs from a subaru dealer. That means no more set srews!! They just screw on to the shifter like the stock ones do. They are also arond 80 bucks

I have the Race Air Leather Aluminum (top leather/bottom al), looks soo much better than the stock crap.
Pain in the ass to get a proper fit without adapter.

This knob screws on perfectly. It really is a very large knob and for someone with small hands (like me) it can be a little hard to shift. Not that I'm gonna put the stock one back on dontcha know.

When I installed the knob on my KB shift lever, the screws deform the threads on the lever. I don't think the stock knob will screw back on, but I don't see why you would put the stock knob back on.... my$.02

Um I wasn't too happy with mine. I took it off for a Kartboy Knuckleball. It may get hot but it doesn't rattle or require ducttape to hold up the shift boot, or an adapter, or just generally suck my balls...
It does look nice though...
You can buy mine if you want one... I sure am not missing it on my car...

it looks bad ass but it doesnt fit so i had to use the scrwes it came with and screw it into the steep shifter shaft. Its not a screw on. But it does have a tight lock and looks good.

It matches the interior pefectly. Keeps the Momo produces thing going.
On the install (5 minutes) I did not use the metal screw-on bolt cover. In order for the knob to go all the way down it won't fit. Plus it makes the shift boot fit poorly. Instead i forced the boot top over the bolts and threads on the knob. It fits like a glove and looks clean. Plus the knob feels very secure and lower for better shifts. A great buy that you get to feel every time you drive! It is worth the money.

Give me a break - it was made for the WRX! It matches the interior, feels great when you use leather polish occasionally, and has a good feel in your hand.
On the negative, the top of the ball gets really hot in the heat and I\'m a little paranoid about the mounting screws which cut into my stock shifter but I can overlook it. Occasionally the shifter moves a couple millimeters but is easily put back into place.

It is a great well made piece but come on ! I finally broke down and bought the adapter, but then the knob started turning and scraped a gash in the adapter, so now I had to cut it down a little bit and use threadlock to seal that sucker in there, so now some apoxy glue, and adapter, and a shift knob later it is badass and doesn\'t move at all.

i like this alot better than stock, it feels better, and looks betters. you need to get something new to hold up the shifter boot or else it will fall down, but it doesnt bother me.

I have the carbon fiber model of this knob.
It looks great and is very durable. I love the feel of it as well.
My only beefs with the knob are the stupid momo sticker popped off a couple times and finally disapeared. And MOMO is not being very friendly on getting me another one.
It\'s a great knob but does require something like the Paulie adapter to really fit right. Otherwise you have to modify it and it just doesn\'t look right.
if I was to get momo again I\'d get the knob I have..but my next knob won\'t be a momo. No more.

This knob is very comfortable. Sure shifts while autocrossing. My sticker came off. Momo sent me another one.
I use it with the \"Paulie\" adapter.

Mine isn\'t all leather, its aluminum on the bottom half of the sphere. The blue aluminum matches the WRB exterior of my car perfectly. Great size and awesome feel. Shorter too, so it feels like a short shift kit.

I have the \"Race C\" which is the same as the this one, but mine has carbon fiber top and aluminum bottom. It took a lot longer than I thought it would to install. Mainly because of the extra rubber thing and quick tie you have to put on the boot in order for it to not go down. You also have to screw in the tiny screws in tight. but make sure they\'re even. it\'s a nice shift knob no doubt.

I got one used from one of the classifieds. The picture posted above shows the metal top to be rounded giving the knob a more round look. Every one I\'ve found for sale has a more flat top and more pronounced dimples. I wasn\'t crazy about that styling. I\'d prefer the \"prototype\" version pictured above. I\'m assuming its a prototype as I\'ve never seen the same type for sale or mounted in a real vehicle.
I ended up re-selling mine and getting a round Razo knob instead. That and the occassional sweat from my hands on the leather was making it sticky and grossing me out.
Overall, I\'ve had Momo knobs in the past. The quality is excellent. I never felt confident with the set screws holding it into place. They could take a lesson learned from Razo\'s inserts that screw on to the shaft. But otherwise an excellent product. If used with the \"Paulie\" adapter (available from a forum member) it will hold up the shift boot with out having to buy Momo\'s expensive universal boot.

I got the Race Air Leather Aluminum version - with black leather on the top half, red aluminum for the rest.
I have a San Remo WRX, and I think it compliments the red of the car and the red logo on my 2004 steering wheel.
I actually prefer the set screws vs the screw-on version, because it will sit lower.
I have a bit of a gap between the bottom of the knob now, but I am gonna cut the lever by about .5\" to make them meet. Even shorter lever now!
This is a good product - no slipping after install w/ loctite.

The one i bought came with the set screws. You should use a little bit of locktite so the screws don\'t back out. yes, its does leave a little bit of damage on the threads but you can still screw on the stock knob if you have to.
all in all its a great shift knob. it looks good and feels good too.

I love the way it looks, but getting the boot to fit sucks. You have to cut out the plastic ring so you can't go back to stock, and getting the boot to stay in the right place while you screw in the metal ring to hold it up is really hard. It took me at least 2 hours before it worked.
