suggestions on quiet & high performance tires?
i just drove off the lot with my new 02 WRX and looking for some help. Can someone tell me a set of quiet tires that have good performance in dry AND wet conditions? I'm not gonna worry about the snow until winter. and oh yeah, reasonably priced, as imentioned i just bought a car and dont have much $$.

Just put a set of Michelin HydroEdge on my '03 WRX wagon 2K miles ago. Managed to get 28K out of the RE92s.
They are great. Low noise, way more sticky in the corners, don't wander on dry payment & GREAT in the rain !!!
They are directional tires, great styling & have a 85,000 mile treadlife warranty.
Paid ~ $130.00 each installed w/ M&B

No worries, about the ragging. ^_^ Well, I wish I could answer your question. I never got my hands on the Yokohama ES100's. So I cant make an comparisons.
Just trying to help if I could. You know here in the bay area, we dont run into snow or really wet weather. For the most part its usually dry, occassional rain. But thats about it. Reason I chose em were for:
Their all-season factor (wet, dry, rain, snow)
Them being a japanese tire
The performance ratings given on them (via tirerack)
Now I know, i dont run into mud or snow AT ALL in the bay area. But if by some miracle, we get some snow, some mud, my car is "somewhat" ready for it ^_^

BTW, for reference, I'm running 225/50/16 Bridgestone Potenza RE750s, and the wet traction on them is AWESOME!
