Just wanted to spread the word, I was at a local Sam's Club in Nor Cal yesterday buying tires for my wife's car and they are having an "introductory sale" on BF Goodrich g-Force Comp-2 tires, they were about $85 (give or take depending on size) each, seems like a good deal on what I hear is a good tire. Only details I got were that they will not order them for you at this price, only good on what they have in stock, and since it's a promo they are not doing a mileage warranty.

Does anyone know what changed about these from the older gForce Sports? The previous model was god awful, no grip or turn in response.

The reviews I read said the new model has "hook grooves" (G-Hooks they are callng them) in the tread pattern which "provide better biting edges at every possible tread angle", new stiff sidewall inserts, and an overall stiffer sturcture for a "wider, flatter contact patch". I have not driven these tires myself, but for under $400 for a set I am interested. I would like to know if anyone has driven these yet before I shell out any money for them as I have heard complains of the original as well.

are these only in your store area or all the sam clubs in the nor cal(bay area) area?

They seem to be at all of them from what they told me, my "local" Sams is in Yuba City and I know the Sacrmaneto stores have them as well.
