GST E85 & 91 Tune

Just got my 2004 WRX Tuned by mike over at GST.

Will upload the dyno sheets later, but needless to say, he is great, my car flies now! And it's reliable.

E85 279 WHP 265 FT LBS TORQUE on a Mustang Dyno

I'm happy with my 2-liter's performance

nice but a lot of people make that with a VF39 on a 2 liter with just TBE, TMIC, STI injectors, intake and tune.. with just 91 oct. i thought it might have made more HP even on a mustang dyno

do they make that on this dyno? two mustangs can read totally different. as long as the delta between untuned and tuned looks good then there is nothing to worry about.

OP if you want to post it on nasioc expect these kind of comments

yes they can. i got dynoed there about 3 years ago before my 2.5 built swap and i was making 289awhp and 285 tq and 91 oct.

not trying to hate one bit just stating the power looks low for an E85 tune. when most or making that with a 91 oct tune thats all. im sure he is more than happy. it feels great to get tuned and you can feel the difference

maybe the tune isnt agresive, but isee what you mean. Tuning isnt about a #'s game unless the op was shootig for a specific goal. its all about driveability and reliability, numbers really arent much of a significance IMO.

Are the 1000s a room-to-grow size or were they what was prescribed per the turbo/any particular HP goals you may have had?

Those numbers seem low on e85

I was going for over 300 awhp. Little disappointed. But 20.5 Psi boost is fun. I thought it would be way faster. He said that any more boost would make engine knock

I'm at 265whp with 286tq with a stock td04 running 14psi on 91 pump

Of course it's a hybrid but the numbers seem off
For e85 and a vf39?

Anyways good go on the e85

Figure the E85, at effective 100ish octane or higher would be the knock panacea, but dunno, sure Mike had his reasons.

Promising though at what I might get out of a tune on my 04 WRX once I get my VF37, 850cc injectors and PnP'd/therm coated parts on (cat back and Perrin TMIC as is + handling mods). I'm more for reliability than shear ponies too.

Should be a lot of room to grow with those.
