Those ideals aren't neccesarily tenets of Communism. They do however share some similarities with Maoism. But look long and hard enough and you can draw pretty much any parallel you want to. I could go on for pages that the Bible espouses a socialist society, but on the flip side of that coin I could go on even longer that it espouses a capitalist society.
In the end you're just mad cause Horowitz used to be on your side.
dub2w, you're never going to get to Fascist station on dubya train, because fascists don't use god as a guiding principle.
Actually the Nazi's and the occult did extensively. There's literally hundreds of campaign posters of Hitler be depicted as the answer or voice of God. For example, posters with Hitler looking up towards the Nazi Federal Eagle that's flying in the light drenched skies of the heavens. The ideas portrayed in the Indiana Jones trilogy weren't exactly Spielberg's original thought. Historians have debated the idea that he truly attempt other feats besides The Spear of Destiny.
Regardless, there's no way to justify fascism in the United States. You may be able to pick-up on weak arguments based on religion and socioeconomics but that's about it. If this was a fascist country then there wouldn't be congress, Bush would have absolute power as a Dictator and every Muslim would be in a concentration camp by now and their mosques destroyed etc etc etc.
i dont think we live in a fascist state. but sometimes it feels like that is the direction our country is going. the whole "either with us or against us" is a dictate that has no place in the democratic Americas
btw, nice historical reference there salty. you hit the nail on the head (me thinks)
