Of course! Freezing Rain > Milestone Election in Iraq
As pointed out by LGF: http://littlegreenfootballs.com/webl...cture#comments
They estimate that over 70% of Iraqis participated in the election! That's a HUGE turnout. This includes a significant amount of Sunnis when most all of them boycotted the last one.
I love this one

No, no, you read the meme wrong! The reason why we're having freezing rain in the South and in the Northeast is...global warming!

...you guys b**** more than a room full of 15 year old cheerleaders on the rag...
Last night I saw the coverage of the Iraqi vote on EVERY news channel EVERY time they gave the news. I don't know why CNN's top story is rain; but every other news outlet covered the election.
It's very cool that there was a %70 turnout...now how do we get Americans to vote in the same numbers as Iraqis...

Voter turnout in Iraq before the invasion was close to 100% of eligable voters.
That's a 30% decline in turnout. You don't that spread all over the news do you?
Consider yourself lucky.
Also, expect the turnout numbers to be revised down in the next couple of days.

You can't have free elections when the electorate only recognizes one candidate that routinely murders and tortures opponents of his regime! The minimal penalty for slandering Saddam was to have one's tongue cut out.
