Well, I bent ANOTHER endlink, thats it!!!>=(

well those solid rear endlinks they started putting in 04+ cars that were supposed to be such big improvments over the plastic ones are turning into one big PITA. Ive read multiple reports of these bending and swaybars flipping under normal conditions and this time by simply JACKING UP THE CAR!!! I jacked up the car at the factory right/rear location, once the right/rear tire was off the ground a couple inches I hear a 'THUNK" and the whole car shudders, I look underneath and sure enouigh the bar flipped and bent both links, now I have 3.

here they are mocked up, I ended up using 1/4" longer bolts. you will also need about 1/8" spacer/washer between the ends of the link and both bars so it will stand off a bit and not rub when it moves up and down. I saw hotchkis sells a set of rod end style endlinks for $150+ a set, these cost a total of $24, haha cant blame them I guess

Now you need to sell the "Krinkov" endlinks for $75 and pocket $50 each time.

STI mounts the swaybar on top of the control arm, the "C" shaped ones are for the WRX bars mounted on the bottom of the control arm like this...

yeah every town has a bearing/hydrolic supply place in it, look in the phone book, they are called alot of thinkds, rod ends, heim joints, sphereincal bearing joints, but calling them rod ends will work best when asking for them at bearing places, and they do come in all trim levels, these are the standard style that cost 5 bucks each, depending on materials and tolerances they can go up to and over $50 each, though you would never need anything like that just for an end link.

Don't lie, you know you were going off jumps again

Seriously though, thats pretty sad if they bend from simply jacking up the car
Such great crafsmanship

Yep seen this bent endlinks thing myself. Kind of stinks but it's a nice excuse to get some nice beefy upgraded endlinks.

NICE Krinkov! I like the way you think....I gotta pick me up some of those "endlinks" great Idea, and cheap compared to getting ripped for $100+ for some machined aluminum ones that are pretty much the exact same thing.

+1 for the "Krinkov" endlinks

The BMW community uses endlinks like this all the time, so its not a totally untested idea ;-).

http://www.uucmotorwerks.com/html_te..._bar_links.htm

I am considering making some for the front swaybar for my 2.5rs. Keep us informed as to how your setup works. I would like to know how they feel versus machined ones if at all posible ^_^.
