Suspension Options for 05 WRX sedan

I'm in the market for a 05 WRX sedan and want to know my options for either springs or coilovers. I prefer coilovers but it doesn’t look like any of the major manufactures have a set for 05 WRX. If I have to use springs for a while until some coilovers come out that’s fine also. The springs I’m considering is Prodive but not even sure if they will work on a 05. Any information will be helpful.

Thanks

I found out the Prodrive springs will work on the 05 WRX (Joseph over at Tarmac-USA) so now all I need to know is if anyone has COs for the 05. Any pics will be welcome. I would love to see some lowered 05 WRXs.

Thanks again.

theres alot of opstions for the 05... if u look around u'll find that tein makes both coil over and springs... not only tein but cusco and hks for coil overs... springs theres eibach, sti, rs-r, tein agian..., and tanabe. u'll also be able to find a number of sway bars, links, strut bars etc...
sites like http://www.gruppe-s.com has alot of stuff for good price... take a look and shop around.

Tein has their Flex CO now for the 05 STI but nothing is listed for the 05 WRX. Don’t know if they are the same or not. Anyways there were some differences with the lower bolt pattern. does anyboby know if the tein flex coilover I would guess this means that the other CO for 04 will not fit the 05s either. I'm not like some that mindlessly post without researching first.

Don't mean to try and hijack the thread at all... But I also have an 05 WRX Sedan. I am planning on springs since my last experience w/ coilovers was too rough over time. I am stuck between the STI Pink and Prodrives. Anybody out there have an opinion on both? My actual third choice are the Eibach pro-kit. Obviously I'm going down in terms of price.... I'm looking for real opinions on these, especially if there are camber issues w/ any of them.
-Thanks

Any coilover, spring or strut that will fit the 04 wrx will fit the 05 wrx. They are the same

Only the 05 STI is different.

correct....all 04 and 05 WRX is the same. as far as coilover applications...the 05 STi is a bit different though. So, any coilover for an 04 WRX will work fine for those with 05 WRX

If you want springs, and have an 05, get springs quoted for the 04

I bought the STi pinks for my 05 Wrx. I decided to get these springs because they are a quality part, don't lower the car too much, stiffer than stock, and because I really like the way sonicsuby's car looks with the pinks and 17" rotas. Also, I used $300 in subaru bucks to pay for them. So in the end, they only cost me 18 bucks.

Can the stock struts on an 05 WRX handle the stiffness of the pink springs?

It would be best to pair pinks with STI struts. With the stock WRX struts the ride would be bouncy. A good upgrade would be to grab a STI take out suspension from someone that went to coilovers, and then get a set of pinks for it. I also reccomend using Group N Tophats with the pinks.

If you want a set of pinks get them from a reputable source, like www.racecompengineering.com. Don't by the "pinks" the dealers offer, they are really Eibachs painted pink and sold as "STI" springs but they are not real JDM pinks.
