Front End Clunk When Turning --- FIXED!!!!
Hi Guys,
I've been fighting with this one for a while now. I get a pop/clunk sound when I turn hard enough to throw the car's weight to the other side. I had the same noise happen to me before with my end links, but I just tightened my bolts and it was gone.
The clunk came back, but this time it was worse. I replaced my endlinks with KB and torqued to 45 ft lbs. Still clunking. I just tightened them to 55 ft lbs. Still clunking.
The bizarre thing is when I turn one direction it will make many pops/clunk noise, but if I make the same turn, there is no noise. If I turn in the opposite direction it will make noise, but if I make the same turn, there is no noise. And the cycle starts over again.
I can feel the pop/clunk through my pedals/floor and sometimes through my steering wheel. It is never just one pop/clunk, there are many each time I turn.
Suspension mods:
BC Coils with swift springs
Whiteline 24 F/R sway bars
KB endlinks F/R
Whiteline Steering Rack bushings
Whiteline bump steer kit
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!!

Both of my front axles are new. They were replaced by the dealer due to dealer error.
The springs look like they have plenty of space to me. The pre load was set by the vendor I ordered from and have not been touched since.
I have also been getting suggestion about bad ball joints. However, the whiteline bump steer kit is no more than 200 miles old so I don't think that's a possibility unless the nut came loose? The clunk started before I swapped out my BJs anyway.

1. put the car on jackstands
2. put the jack under the corner that is clunking and move it up and down (cycle the suspension)
3. look for something that is not moving in-phase when it should be. Specifically, you're looking to see if the damper is solidly connected to the top hat or if there is some probably vertical play/jiggle there.
The idea being that if the bearing is a little loose, you will compress/slip downward in it when you turn the car one way and will allow it to expand/slip upward when you turn in the other direction.
It's probably not a wheel bearing, and I would expect a CV to have a cyclical rhythmic clicking sound rather than one that correlates to shifting weight/direction.

Hey guys. I fixed my car!!!
Turns out it was the 2 12mm bolts on my jacking plate that were not "tight".
Been living with this for 5 months now. No more clunking/popping!!
Thank you everyone for your help and suggestions. I appreciate it!
