Tuning your WRX

Hey everybody, I just got this app because I just got my first WRX. I've done some customization to it already but am looking for advice. I just installed a Perrin Recirculating B.O.V in my car a few days ago. No backyard installs. The sound I hear now is different the one I was hearing when it was first installed. Originally it was a a whistle like release. Now I hear more from the intake. All opinions welcome. Thanks.

Put your stock BPV back on.

Any particular reason why you recommend putting the stock b.o.v. On? Thanks

Its a BPV.

You run rich or lean (forgot witch one) between shifts. And with the 09+ block and stock maps there's a good chance of detination.

To clarify, OP...
If it releases to atmosphere, it's a blow-off valve (BOV)
If it recirculates, it's a bypass valve (BPV)

So both of them you have are BPV's

Now the harassment can stop and people can try to help you...

I'm not sure why the sound would change... is it still holding boost?

Thanks for the help. Yeah boosting fine. I don't have a gauge yet. But drive ability hasn't changed. One of the mechanics at my job, told me that it was the valve breaking itself in.

Car is a daily driver. Tuned up the boost slightly on it with a custom map on my Cobb access port. Is a B.P.V. From Perrin bad? I know it's a well known brand. I know these are necessary to have at higher boost levels like 25 psi. I bought it really for the sound for now. Anything I should know? My mechanic who tuned it a couple months ago said no tuning necessary. Any good feedback appreciated.
