NeW 2 SooBiES PLzZzZ HeLp

hey wuss up, i just want to introduce my self. My name is will and i just brought a 04 STI blue/ gold bbs from the dealer, so i got a 4 year bumper to bumper warranty =) . I'm completly in love!!!! And i was about yay close to getting a Evo MR. thank god i didn't. Now i came from the honda family and feel like they don't even exist anymore. As of now the car is competly stock. im working on the bling bling first( in-dash tv, system) and then straight to modding.
I just want some help from my new family, if you could list 3 great things about the 04 STI and 3 bad things about the STI. what would it be? Make sure you add anything that u feel i MUST know about them, that would be great.
As far as modding, now i know this isn't a civic and that i must use quality parts. So with that in mind, would this be a good first "package" to upgrading the STI.

BOV- for sum reason i seen ppl say that, that is ricer. why?
FULL EXHAUST- wut is the best bang for the buck. which would give me the most power and wouldn't have to worry about changing it, hopfully i can do some major modding later down the road.(BIGGER TURB, NOS, PORTING, PISTONS, TUNING)
INTAKE- which one would sound deeper? Does this sound stupid?
ECU- which one would be safe but notice a major incrase in hp/tq with.

Would you recommend anything else to add to the first package of upgrades?(Power wise)

Now for the guy that are gunna be *******s, its an easy as this! Just don't reply!
And for those that really wanna help me out- THANKS A MILLION!!!

Well put! My input of things to do 1st...

#1 What you learned about Hondas does not apply to Subaru (think Eurasian here).
#2 Driving lessons on a TRACK
#3 You don't WANT attention ~ you'll get too much already.
#4 When the car becomes boring ~ then maybe your ready to start the upgrades.
#5 You can't have TOO much insurance... you WILL use it!

First off, I am going to try and be nice about your grammer/typing sk1illz before a few people on this board rip you to pieces. I really am trying to be as nice as possible here, even if I may come off as an ***.
1. Please, please type regularly. wE d0nT n33D M4d t1pyngz sk1llz. It makes it much harder for everyone to read, and since it takes more time, why do it?. Leave those skills for AIM and chat rooms

2. Capitalize your "I"'s because it just makes things easier to read.

3. Please use paragraphs when possible, as it is much easier on the eyes that way. Also, comma's can help us in understanding what you are saying.

4. Don't use abrevieations quite as much. "Ppl" is a especially annoying one. The occasional abreviation is alright, but not every other word.

Sorry to be the grammer Nazi, I just am trying to help you out on later posts, and so that your other questions get answered promptly and respectfully . Now to your questions:
BOV: To many of us in the Subaru community and elsewhere, BOV's have come to be the WRX/STi quintessential ricer mod. This is mainly because the performance gains are miniscule, they cost a fair amount of money for a good one, and many people put them on as a first mod. I personally love how they sound, and most likely would have one on my car if I: 1) didn't have a N/A car, and 2) wasn't broke. It really is up to you. Nobody is going to make fun of you at a meet for having a BOV, its only the internet thugsters who really give a ****.

Full Exhaust: You have tons of options on this one, and I would recommend searching in the WRX motor forum, as there have been countless topics on this issue. There are many, many, exhausts that fit your criteria. On a somewhat related note, please do not put NOS on your STi. This has also been covered extensively in the WRX motor forum.

Intake: I would not recommend spending your money right-off-the-bat on a intake. The performance gains are miniscule, and you won't hear too much of it anyways after you put on a cat/turbo-back exhaust.

ECU: Again, search and you will find countless topics

As far as first mods go, get a turbo-back exhaust and possibly a ECU reflash and see how you like it. Also look to upgrade the stock suspension (sway bars, springs/struts or coilovers) and brakes (pads, fluid, lines) before you decide to go too crazy with power mods. Power may be fun, but 0wning other "sports-cars" on the race track is also great fun . Such "supporting mods" also make for a safer ride down the line.

Best of luck to you with your new car!
Cheers
-Jeff

ThaNkS For the inputs guys.
i know its not a a honda, therefore it a different beast. As far as driving it i'll be alright, i been driving for 8 years- one minor accident but was traving at high speed but because i've been driving for a long time i manage to get away wit just a fender dent. On top of that. i tried sevral time to make the car unmanagable, just won't let me. awd is a beautiful thing. As far as the BOV i know it won't make a increase in hp but girls just can't get enough of it =) keep it coming guys!! thanks for the input NW and sigma

I'd recommend:
-A good turboback exhaust
-Drop in panel filter
-Good tune
-F/R swaybars
-Lots of track time.

I'd pass on the BOV. It's useless and personally, I'm not impressed by girls who are impressed by only BOVs.

Be careful with that in-dash tv. Don't want to end up like Eddie Griffin now..
